The repair manuals also call for 8 hours to remove/install springs....my buddy whos done quite a few wk2s does it in less than 3. Including my jeeps 3 times.

Re: Choosing which recalls to apply

The dealer I went to for the brake booster, visor, and fuel relay put two techs on the job, they were finished in about 2 hours.

Did they cut the brake booster foam shield and slip it over the booster to save time and compromise the shield?

That might explain the quick turnaround.

Wait checked in @ 8:39 left @ 10:40....... Isn't that 2 hours???

Re: Choosing which recalls to apply

Yes. ..but at 10 am they told me it would be an hour to do the recalls and it only took 30 min. By the time i checked out it was 1040 am. Maybe they started the recalls at 9 am and then came out and told me ot would be an hour around 10 am. Dont know...but from when they told menit would be an hour to do the recalls..till the tume they told menit was ready....was 30 min.

Visor Recall
I would rather risk the possibility of fingerprints over the risk of fire. If there are fingerprints, it could be addressed immediately. If there is a fire, then you will have more to worry about. My visor recall and TIPM recalls were done in about 90min.

I agree, which is why I will have this recall applied if there is ever a risk of fire applicable to my Jeep due to that issue.

Re: Choosing which recalls to apply

I don't "choose" which ones to apply...if there is a recall, I have it applied.

Re: Choosing which recalls to apply

i thought you don't have a choice and it's a liability for the dealership and Chrysler?

No problem at all. Quick fix and not at all noticeable. No reason to not have it done.

^^^^This. I had two of three outstanding recalls done last week (they told me they didn't have the parts for the third one); sun visor wiring and brake booster shield. Had a couple faint smudges on the headliner when I got the Jeep back; easily cleaned it with a damp microfiber cloth. I won't ever drive a vehicle with outstanding recalls on it that I could otherwise get taken care of at no cost to me as I don't want something related to the outstanding recall happening to it. Also, just in case I want to sell or trade it in on short notice I want all recalls already done and documented.
