Classic.

Thanks for the link and glad I'm one of those who waited.

P67 Occupant Restraint Control Module recall scheduled for 5/16/15...dealer said it would take 2 hours. Will update once recall is completed...

And sorry to hear about your troubles with the fire...that is not cool at all. Glad nobody was hurt, just your poor Jeep baby

Re: Choosing which recalls to apply

What's involved with replacing the ORC module? I have an appt Monday for an oil change and the Orc recall. I'm still on the fence on the sun visor recall after 8 catching on fire after the recall. My kids bedroom is over the garage so the last thing I want is my car to catch fire.

Re: Choosing which recalls to apply

I just had the problem associated with the vanity lights. It blew the M20 fuse which disabled all the controls on my steering wheel and wiper blades were always on and I could not turn them off. The dealer replaced the fuse but could not find the short. I noticed the driver side vanity light was very dim and passenger side did not work. So upon removing the screws for the passenger visor the vanity light came back on. I also noticed the wire harness was very warm. I was able to fix the shot myself.
I was very upset at the dealer since they did the vanity light, P36 recall last October but it seems like they just wrote it off and never rerouted the wires as they were pinched. See the attached picture.

Re: Choosing which recalls to apply

If the dealer did nothing, this wouldn't have happened. The problem was said to arise only if somebody had worked in that area. Now this might be hard to believe of a trained FCA technician, but it looks like they screwed up.
