Question Chrysler Finance Lease Rates

Since it's October now and the production (and delivery) of my Summit is getting closer, I was wondering if anybody knows where to monitor the current lease-numbers in effect (money-factor/residual) from Chrysler Financial.

Is there a publicly available source in the first place or do I always have to ask the dealer?

Thanks!

It might take a couple days since it's only the first of the month.

Re: Chrysler Finance Lease Rates

First off let me update you. Chrysler Financial is no longer Chrysler's financing arm. Chrysler Financial was the old GM ALLY that was put in place by the government to help Chrysler when it nearly went bankrupt. While technically it still exists it has very few ties to Chrysler anymore. Chrysler Capital is Chrysler's new financing arm. They have given some pretty good deals both to buy or lease a Chrysler product since they took over. Their requirements are not quite as strict as the old GM ALLY Chrysler Financial either.

You might try calling Chrysler Capital at:1-855-563-5635.

Or email them at: How can I send an email with a question to Chrysler Capital?

1) Click the live chat link if no agents are available, click the live chat link and then choose the link that is presented. OR
2) Go to Chrysler Capital | Auto Finance, choose the 'Contact Customer Service' option from the 'Customer Service' menu option, enter the requested information, and 'Send Message'.

I have my MY2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited ADII 3.2L leased through them. I found them very easy to work with and willing to go out of their way to help you.

Thanks! I always confuse the terms "financial" and "capital" in their name...

My other ride is leased through Lincoln Financial so I tend to call the others guys by the same name.

I just got off the phone and all they can tell me is "ask your dealer" - so not much help from them.

It worked!

So the numbers for a 2015 Summit 4x4 for October on a 39 months / 12K miles per year are:

MF: .00017
Residual: 46%

So basically, the residual remains unchanged (at a lousy 46%) but it seems that the MF got better.

My dealer quoted me a MF for September of .00044. That leaves the question if that was the actual MF or a MF with a potential dealer mark-up. I posted that question on Edmunds, too. Let's see what they say.

On the second page they answered that September overland 4x4 mf was .00044.

Surprised that the residual is still so low, I guess they still must have a good amount of 14's left.

Great, thank you!

So it's likely my dealer didn't try to sneak in any mark-up.

I could actually live with these numbers because there might be a scenario where I could take advantage of this low residual:

I might be able to switch cars after 2 years without too much of a penalty/negative equity. I was thinking that such a low residual would result in equity after 39 months and that would mean that a "break-even" point between actual residual and lease-payoff could be sooner. I certainly don't want to pay such a high lease for the entire 39 months and hand over the equity to Chrysler Capital.

I simply can't believe that a Summit with an MSRP of $54K will only be worth $24K after 39 months.
