For private sales there's a world of difference. I used PeopleFirst for one in '98 and it was a piece of cake. Tried to use CapOne in '03 and they added so many hoops to jump through that I told them to shove it. They also used to not restrict the age or type of car you can buy, that's all changed.

The founders of PeopleFirst started up a new service once their non-compete ran out called FirstAgain. It was an unsecured loan based solely on your creditworthiness. I used that twice, once for a car and once for a boat and it was great. 24 hrs after approval and acceptance they wired the funds directly into your bank account. The crash of '08 took it's toll and their wholesale money market dried up so they went out of business. It sucks because it was a great service.

I'm not saying CapOne isn't a great service, it is. Just that it was better under it's founders.
Got it, thanks for explaining that. I had to supply capone with W2's for the most recent loan, no documentaion was required before that, but that applies to most lenders these days. At least it's not as bad as what the banks want to see before issuing a mortgage now!

I would expect new incentives to be out this next week...

I'm just looking for any Jeep non-financing buyer incentives such to lower the price. I think I will contact Jeep regarding loyalty rebates or whatever since I've owned 6-7 new Jeeps and have heard people got $500-$750 coupons in the mail I've moved recently so perhaps that's why I didn't get one. :-(

When I got my 2005 they had a $4,000 rebate if you financed part so I financed $6,000 for 3 months and got the $4,000 rebate. That one was a heck of a deal - a total of $9,660 off the MSRP of $43,420 (less the interest on $6,000 for 3 months).

I'll certainly be keeping' and eye out, and would assume/hope that if anyone hears of anything, they'll post here.

Re: Chrysler/Jeep Financing?

I wouldn't count on mega incentives on the WK2 anytimes soon. Certainly not the Overlands and Summit.

That was an expensive bad habit the old Chrysler had, and given the materials that have gone into the WK2 I would suspect they don't have nearly the same cost buffer they had with the previous generations.

Re: Chrysler/Jeep Financing?

There are NO steller deals out there for 2011 Overlands. The only coupon deal was on 2011 Laredo 4x4, ended Jan. 3. Do not expect to see any incentives for Limited or Overland. You can take that to the bank.

Capital one let me use the blank check loan for a private party purchase on my 66 chevelle in '07. I didn't try it this time though, I got 3.1%/ 60 mos from bank of America.
