Tough news day to compete with the 2012 SRT8 rocket launch, but remember what your mamma said: "Don't leave the house in dirty underwear, cause you may get in a car accident."

So here's a little more underskirt love from BT to match the catch can. Their stuff is spectacular.

Props to Robpp again for his vids and photos, though he is getting into my wallet a bit.

Those are what I call pure style points, Moose.

Naval aviators talk about flying tight patterns around the carrier and the need to always "look good around the boat." You get +rep for looking good under the hood.

Thanks gents. CP, much appreciate the nod from the captain for being shipshape, but this sure feels like pure festoonery vs. ready for action functionality.

Fireon, you read my mind, hate the engine cover. Feels like it should go in the trash which would lead to more aethestic efforts on the block. Got one of these inserts forthcoming as last ditch effort at respectability for that cheap plastic.

True, but it's under the hood where only true aficionados would appreciate it. Just like flying razor accurate headings, pulling the right g's on the corners, and catching a 3-wire on the trap.

That's style.

Moosey,

Now yer talkin". I used to see a ton of them for the 300C but haven't seen too much for Jeep. I don't know if the ones for Dodge or Chysler would fit or not. Love the CF (or whatever that design/material is) above though! The one on the JGC looks like hell to me, way cheap looking.

Regarding the replacement Mopar logo panel for the engine cover, is the center panel of the stock item a knockout piece or will you have to carve it out? And that metallic one with the mesh insert is sweet.

N/m, just checked and it looks like it's attached with some sort of heat rivet.

Looks great moose! I was thinking of doing these and was going to pick them up back when I ordered that catch in September but just couldn't justify 250+ at the time. Pretty and expensive! hehe :)

Keep up the good work.

Moose, I didn't see the Catch Can thread. Is that relocated from fender well?
Like the touch of color, I may change direction and go red air tube and add these goodies!
You're using 6 of the 7, is the coolant jug not utilized or cap doesn't fit?

After seeing your pics on engine cover; looked around and there are some nice carbon fiber covers.
Is there only a certain cover that will fit, or is a 5.7 cover a 5.7 cover?
Found various cover top inserts, but couldn't find the screen insert... any source to that one?

That screened insert is custom, but If you send Tony that photo he can pretty much do anything. The inserts fit yiur stock 5.7 engine cover. Nice touch to add a colored air line.

How's that rig of yours now that you've modded her out?

but but but but what kind of slush mats and nav do you have???

Mats: I've got the carbon fiber inlay McNeil custom fit to both foot well & drivers Feet with a built in foot massage.
Nav: It's the 590 WTF, it works great... You're always asking it "where the fu*k" am I and it responds with a sexy Russian voice to guide you.

Got'em at VirtualJeep.org

Y'know, this forum has sure saved me a ¢rapload of $$$. . . then I see "essential" accessories like this stuff that sucks up the benjamins faster than Trixie in the VIP room.
Just friggin' relentless! ;) Must - - - Customize - - - More - - - !

Keep me posted, thanks! I think it would look killer.

yeah they dont MAKE anything, they would be a reseller.

same with shop hemi in regards to CF and such. they sell carbonbydesign real CF among others/

and if ou look at that first cf pic......that one is done with hydrographics.....its not real cf. radicaltuned does that stuff; send him a PM if interested.

#34 ·
Rob, thanks for the Info!
I like the looks of CF, that's where my info stops!
I found CarbonbyDesign, but radicaltuned web site doesn't show any of the hydrographics. Can you point the way to the spot that shows this type of CF creations? Also, if it's not real CF? You're indicting this is a paint... how's it made?

#36 ·
Rob or SvenskaJeepGuy... Appreciate your CF knowledge.
So, the Eng Cover of discussion is made from Vinyl to look like CF.
OK, so for our needs: weight not an important factor & seeking "Appearance"...
Would this be a bad thing... I see this more as a Positive. Get the appearance of CF, but the material is plastic... easy to trim & possibly lower cost for same product?

Is it being presented as a negative and we should avoid?
What's the Pro & Con on Plastic CF if only a aesthetic item?
