Cleaning Summit Interior

What do you use for each surface?

Re: Cleaning Summit Interior

Just like every vehicle I've ever owned (MB's, BMW's and this Jeep) just use a microfiber towel. 99.9% of the time this works along with water if necessary.

Lexol is always a nice option for the leather as well, but if you exercise caution, you really shouldn't need much more than a vacuum and a light wipe down.

Re: Cleaning Summit Interior

Totally agree on microfiber and Lexol. Lower doors and seat parts are plastic and get dirty so some additional scrubbing is needed at times. But for all the leather just a damp towel and a little Lexol is all you need. That applies to our Summit, Jaguar XJ, BMW 650, and our good old 88 MB SL 560. All have light interiors and look great.

Re: Cleaning Summit Interior

Agree with above posters as well. Unless it's really dirty, I use a black mf towel and either quick interior Detailer or sonax dashboard cleaner. I rarely, if ever, use dressings on my interior surfaces I prefer them matte.

Agreed. I can't stand the slimy "Armor All" look.

I have never used Lexol, but it sounds like it is time to give it a go.

Thanks guys!

Yup, the 303 is good stuff. It's not matt, but not shiny either.

Re: Cleaning Summit Interior

If it does pick up a stain, highly diluted Woolite and one of those Mr Clean magic erasers has worked better on the light frost interior than anything else I've tried so far.

Carpets, dilute Woolite and your brother-in-law's toothbrush...
