My car has one, and being a lower, sporty car I think it probably has saved the paint. But, my wife's 3 year old Suburban does not, and the front still looks perfect, despite being towed thousands of miles behind our Motorhome. The front of the suburban is plastic, just like the jeep. It seems like the painted plastic can take road debris pretty well without chipping. What do you guys think? Clear bra our not?
Rdalcanto, it'll still get scalped by the mountain west sand and whatnot. We actually replace windshields every 3-4 years just because they get so pitted. A clear bra is a pretty cheap way to keep the rig nice.
its invaluable here in denver for the paint. and your in salt lake city, im guessing the same stuff, so YES. spend the money its worth it.
I found a installer that worked at home garage sat and sunday on craigslist. saved some dough that way. he was a certified 3M installer so was still able to issue a warranty.
do not get any precut crap from ebay. it neds to be taken from a roll so they can get a bit of a stretch to make it work.
