You still use change for a toll booth? It's much cheaper here if you don't, probably why jeep didn't include one, change just isn't used for anything around here anymore especially tolls and meters.

Re: Coin Holder?

2000 GC has it built into the center console. I've been using the ashtray for 11 years. There's still some parking meters without the credit card system.

Hey! I just checked. They built my jeep yesterday.

Re: Coin Holder?

I think Jeep is more forward thinking than most people think... 99.999% of the time i'm using debit cards, even to pay for the above mentioend parking meeter, pack of gum, fast food, even at starbucks, i grab my iphone 4, launch the starbucks app, hold it up to their scanner, poof, coffee paid for. Visa and Mastercard will have this app soon so you dont even need to carry your debit card. So i throw my change (if i ever have any) in my pocket then in the wife's pocketbook just to get rid of it... i know using plastic isnt for everyone but that's where technology is pushing people, thus, not needing a change holder in the Jeep.

Not if you travel outside the network... You can't use a Florida SunPass in say Illinois. Having a place for coins is not outdated. There are other times when it comes in handy such as needing air.

Re: Coin Holder?

I have a better one than this if anyone is really hard up for one in their GC.

Change You Want?

I wish I could get a cassette deck in a new car...I'd like to listen to some old mix tapes I still have.

Rip 'em to mp3 and put them on a CD.

Re: Coin Holder?

Coinholder? Get yourself one of these bad boys and velcro it to the leather clad dash.

I can use my iPass all the way to NYC. Most of the air pumps in my area are credit card operated. My coins just build up with no use.

I am very happy for you....but coin holders aren't just for tolls and not everyone has such an advanced toll system in their area. Coin holders are handy and why it was omitted is odd since there was one in every GC since 1993 (I know, I've owned them all).
