Re: Color Choice: Brilliant Black or Dark Charcoal

Brilliant Black. My 3rd Black Jeep. I have owned both the non perl black and the perl black. The perl, especially in the sunlight gives off a more charcoal look, as opposed to flat black.....IMO.

Re: Color Choice: Brilliant Black or Dark Charcoal

The Dark Charcoal is okay but it's too dark and looks as dirty as black gets in a car. Mineral Gray is the better choice for me but it isn't my vehicle.

The black interior has the same dirty problem. I can see shiny streaks on the seat backs and rear seats from my little one's sticky hands. If it were a Dark Graystone then it would hide better. Those would be my combo colors.

We saw a Dark Charcoal with a New Saddle and my wife said hello no we wont go. I thought it was okay and different. I personally don't like any wood in any car and have passed on them before.

Oh yea, go for, Mineral Gray!

Re: Color Choice: Brilliant Black or Dark Charcoal

Black all the way. However, I am a bit strange as I love to wash my cars. I have a black M5 and wash it weekly. It is three years old and no swirls!

thanks....likewise...looks real good, esp with that steering wheel peeking out. I'm planning on claying and then detailing when the weather gets a little warmer...in the meantime im thinking bout that car cover. and ditto regarding the tint...i've received fair warning (since i live in NJ) but it just completes the look of a black car when the windows are the same color...

Thanks! What percentage tint, 15 or 20% for your front?

Re: Color Choice: Brilliant Black or Dark Charcoal

I think it depends on the interior. If your going black interior then stick with the black on black. If you're going beige, I def. Go with the charcoal, the color combo is unreal looking!

i was talking to a shop owner and he said that the factory tints were 15%? But I'm not sure, can any other forum members confirm this? I want to match the percentage tint to the factory, but I might do it a little lighter...anywhere between 20-30%, i dont want to become a magnet for le
