Re: Considering 2014 Overland (thoughts?)

Another thing to keep in mind is the wheel/tire combo. The Limited comes standard with 18" wheels. The Overland (without off road package) comes with 20's. With the off road package they both come with the same, standard, Limited wheels/tires.

The taller sidewalls on the 18's will be nicer on rough roads. IMHO

Re: Considering 2014 Overland (thoughts?)

You can't go wrong with either the Limited with options or the Overland. I purchased the Overland after doing the comparison purely based on looks. Yes I could have done the Limited cheaper but again all in the eye of the beholder.
I think the 8 spd transmission has really improved all 3 engines ability to eek out mpg and performance.
It sounds like your dealer is offering you as good a deal as you could get on either the DC or Houston group buys...

Dan JGC, I have the ATG in my Chrysler 300C. I decided that I didn't need it. In the 300C I can't turn off the blind spot beeps which, while useful on the highway, it's annoying when driving in the city. I do kinda want brake assist though. Decisions, decisions.
With my 2011, you can turn off beeps. I have mine set so beeps only when I use the turn signal (the yellow triangle on the side mirrors shows up no matter what) and it is very assuring when making lane changes in heavy traffic...it picks up motorcycles etc. too in the blind spot area.

I agree with everyone's approval of the Advance Tech package. I initially wanted this for the adaptive cruise control w/ STOP but the blind spot monitoring is much more useful in my opinon. This is my first SUV and i have found it very helpful. I will never purchase another vehicle that doesnt have this feature.
