Re: Consumer Reports rates Owner satisfaction high

Who cares what CR says. Their ratings are based on feedback from ~1M of their subscribers. That's 6-7% of the new car-buying population. Typically, only those who are extremely satisfied, or extremely dissatisfied, will take the time to fill out the survey. I received a survey once. There was no way I was filling that thing out. It would have taken 30+ min.

LOL Sorry, but I haven't had the time to look for the article yet. Don't worry, I'll get back to you on that one. It's funny that you'd even bring it up in another thread though.

As for your ZF transmission comment---from what I've heard, it's just a matter of time before Chrysler switches to the "Chrysler" version of the ZF for the V8 and the diesel.

And no, it's not fine now. My 2015 is proof that not all is well, as I'm having some of the same exact problems that 2014 models had and/or still have today.

Sure, but here's the problem---they have NEVER been a reliable or particularly high quality manufacturer. Quite the opposite, actually. Trust me, I'd drive NOTHING but American vehicles if our domestic vehicles were as good overall as Japanese vehicles. The very reason I strayed from American vehicles in the first place is that I've had such bad experiences with them. I had a long run of Japanese vehicles and a few German vehicles thrown into the mix as well. I expected my Japanese vehicles to operate flawlessly and for the most part that's exactly the case. I didn't expect my German cars to be quite a flawless as the Japanese vehicles (mostly based upon reliability rankings), but they surprised me by being almost as good as the Japanese vehicles. So I decided to give American vehicles a try again (with my 2015 Grand Cherokee) and I've been really disappointed so far. So you might be thinking--well, you should have known. And yes, that's true. I did know. But I still decided to gamble a bit and take a chance. I figured I might get lucky and get a good one. Unfortunately for me, the one I chose has some issues that have yet to be ironed out.

Well here I can make it simple for you. If you have a consumer report account as you say. Login online go to cars look up Grand Cherokee and click on owner satisfaction and it will show you how it ranks among everything else.

Make it even easier....prove your own point. Post a link to the article. Or just post a screen shot. Stop asking me to do something YOU should be doing to prove your point.
