Re: Cool ... Another recall

I was just told there is another recall on the front axles/cv boots joints etc..
Affected build dates March thru April 2014 and even applies to vehicles who HAD this repair already done!

Apparently Chrysler doesn't trust the vendor and there have been failures after their supplied axles were installed, so Chrysler gave them the boot & issued this new recall...

New components by another supplier forthcoming!

Go buy a perfect vehicle then. Oh wait, there is no such thing.

I think it's good news. It will get fixed, when it gets fixed. It's all statistical odds every time you get in a vehicle. All they are doing is helping lower the odds of a problem that they have since learned about. How can that be ridiculous?

I never implied anything as such, so keep your foot in your mouth.

I love this Jeep, I just will not act like this isn't getting to be a bigger predicament than it ever should have been. My last two cars that I owned for 4+ years each, had one recall between the two. And not to mention, that one I had was taken care of and done with within a weeks time. No prolonged time table where there is no fix in sight, which some of these recalls are consisting of.

So get over it, this is a problem.

What were they? One might be my next ride ... the one that had no recalls.

Re: Cool ... Another recall

After checking on the owner's site, I see the 2 prior recalls for the brake booster corrosion issue, and the other for the visor recall (I have neither one done yet). The latest recall is not appearing yet on my '14 GC Overland.

Re: Cool ... Another recall

I checked mine. The only outstanding one listed is the visor recall, which I declined. That was last updated yesterday (13th).

Re: Cool ... Another recall

I'm gonna wait till I got about 10 of them and then bring it in and have them all done at once.

I also have a recall for my Toyota Tacoma to replace the frame.

Re: Cool ... Another recall

This new one was just announced. If it takes it's usual route it will be a month or so before it is put in the system and notices go out. From the number being recalled it sounds like all the 14s will be included.

That's my guess anyway.
