That's my guess anyway.

Thanks Bill. Hopefully this will all work out.

Re: Cool ... Another recall

Wonder if I'm going to get that recall. I did experience the issue and drove home w/o airbags. Issue was fixed.

I think this is the same thing reported here a couple of months ago:
ORC Module Shortage

Re: Cool ... Another recall

I just had three recalls done yesterday (cluster, brake booster, wiring) and now another one came out. If i include the parking lamp issue there have been a total of 5! I also had numerous software updates performed (BCM, TCM, radio, Suspension system...). I like the fact that these issues are being addressed but all of these trips back to the dealer is getting old quick... I have numerous trips to the dealer on my '13 Charger too. These are the first two Chrysler products I have ever purchased (never did because of quality reputation) and now I understand how reputations are earned (at least in my case)...

Bummer because I like styling/performance/features of both...

Re: Cool ... Another recall

I'm glad I dumped my early build 2014 Limited for my later build 2014 Overland...the amount of recalls & re-flashes for the early builds is getting ridiculous.

I'd be happy if Chrysler just came up for a fix for the rough shifting V6 transmissions. It's going on 3 weeks now dealing with Chrysler Customer Care, and they STILL can't find a Jeep dealership in my area who will perform the latest TSB flash AND offer a loaner.

I'll say it, Chryco is drinking out of a firehouse in a failed attempt to keep up with poorly built vehicles. Again.

Re: Cool ... Another recall

If you think Chrysler/Fiat is bad, the others are just as much. Toyota is the worst with recalls it seems, on average. Every month I read about one from either them (including Lexus) or some other manufacturer; Honda (including Acura), Government Motors, Ford, VW (including Audi), etc.

If you want to spend a ton of cash on a vehicle, and then have a legitimate complaint about number of problems or recalls, go buy a Land Rover.

Every vehicle is going to have recalls if the manufacturer is doing their job properly. There are so many different components from so many different vendors anymore, that its impossible to not have human error somewhere.

So right.
Especially about Landrovers.
But that does not mean Jeep need to do better.

Re: Cool ... Another recall

Hey, Ford is a little better than Chrysler.

Anyone offended by "off topic" comments need not read any further.

While my new ride has nowhere near the capability of the Jeep, it does have a couple of nice features. You can upload your own pictures to use as backgrounds for the 8" screen. And you can change the color and brightness of the ambient lighting. There are seven colors/shades from a blue similar to the Overland to greens and reds. Also, when you open either front door the color turns to red for that door.

And for that "what were they thinking" moment. I have an in dash cd player and in the console an audio input, two USB connections but only one sd slot. The sd slot works great for playing music. But the maps for the navigation come on an SD card that must be inserted to use the nav. Duh!

I guess nobody gets it all right.

Is Ford still using that wacky warning tone when you first turn on the ignition? If so, can it be changed? If not, I wouldn't buy a Ford because of that stupid warning tone.

I haven't noticed it. But if I get in the car tomorrow and hear it ... I'm gonna find a way to download it to your Jeep.

One thing I just noticed tonight. The capless fuel fill has a dust flap at the very top that can easily be wiped off, and then a second one about as deep in the tube as the one on the Jeep.
