WOW, Mrfixxit7! Congrats!! When you posted, I thought it was a bunch of dealer BS. But he did something. Can you tell me exactly what your dealer did so that I can try to get it done as well?

I didn't go through a dealer. I am in the military and I ordered mine through a overseas buying program. I ordered it and they ship it to where ever I arrive in the states. Any way I just asked them what would happen if it did not arrive on the date I arrive in the states and they looked into it and and told me that it was being built. and should be finished in a few days. Then on Sat. my order status went from D to I I never had a D1 date.
Hope that helps.

They also said that they were going to "Hot" the order and it would put it at the front of the line for shipping.
I told them that I have the ability to monitor the build status through this web site. They said that there info showed the same, but there rep said it was in production. And that maybe the info was not being updated.
The tracking has been updated here in the website several time since yesterday and it still shows D status.
What do you guys think?
Seems like the dealer was just blowing smoke. With most summits ordered in early January, just being built puts you right in the same time frame as the rest. As far as shipping goes and being "hot" from what I was informed and seen through other orders is there is no "line" for shipping to wait in, but rather waiting for rail cars that are heading to certain areas to fill up. The only thing that I could gather that makes shipping faster is if your in a "hot" area where the new JGC is popular therefore has more rail cars heading there more often than other places

I don't think they were blowing smoke. I didn't order my jeep through a dealer. I bought through a military buying program. They don't have a car lot. I told them to wait as long as they could but to wait so long that the jeep would arrive late. They placed the order on the 10 of Jan. And the 730RHR was available on the 12th. They were able to get it changed to the RHR And since then I was waiting in D status. Until I talked to them last Wednesday and asked what the plan was if it did not arrive on the delivery date that was promised. They got back with be the following day and told me it was in production and would be built in 2-3 days. And on Saturday it was built.
I am not sure about the hot shipping. But I don' need the jeep until my arrival date of the 2nd of April. So to me I don't think it matters to much if it arrives in 9 days or 26 days just as long as it is ready when arrive.
