Well yesterday I stopped at a dealer that now has a pretty good inventory for 2014's. So I took a Black Overland with the 5.7 for a test drive and that was it. I picked up a max steel Overland with black interior today. Traded in the 2012 3.6 Overland the performance is night and day.

The finance guy at my dealer was asking me why on earth I was trading in a '12 for a '14 - I'd only had my '12 for a year and a month!

Told him the transmission and interior were all the reason I needed to go to a '14 :)

Lol, I'm with Jim on this one. I refuse to take a look around the lot. I have enough self control to not do a trade, however it will start those little demons in my head... "But it has the new nav unit" "It's got the new tranny" "It's better" haha. Maybe that is what fuels this country, obsession. :D

This is why I refuse to even drive past any of the local Jeep dealers :D

Every time I have test driven a new Grand Cherokee I have bought one. That's why my last 4 Jeeps have been Grand Cherokee Limiteds. I am staying the hell away, though I have no complaints with my 2012 Limited 5.7. If I had the 3.6 I would have traded it in for the 2014 5.7 too.

^^^^ ditto. I was set on replacing my ZJ w/ a JKU. Test drove three times and all was set for me to buy the Wrangler. Then, I told the sales guy... I am going buy the wrangler anyway, so let me test drive the Grand Cherokee. Hardly drove 20 feet and I said.. screw Wrangler, I want this. LOL. Ended up buying my 2012 GC.

Couldn't resist? Dood, isn't this your third WK2? Your dealer should paint your name on the parking slot nearest the front door.
Hey, he's just getting his full enjoyment out of the platform. It'll be mission complete once he gives the '14 to his wife next year and moves up to a '15 SRT for himself :D (says me who has no room to talk because I'm on my second WK2).

It is very smooth no hint of any vibration or fishbite just very smooth. The dealer I went to is a high volume store so they were up about 40 or so in stock and the one that I ended up buying just came in yesterday. They only had a couple with the 5.7 though. When I left after the test drive I though I had done good getting out of there without buying anything, but as I drove home mine felt so sluggish after driving that 14 with the hemi and 8 speed. So I called the guy back and told him I was coming back. They gave me 36K for my 12 Overland with 14K miles on it.
