Couple questions about my 14

I had a couple questions if anyone knows the answer.

1. Does anyone know if you can save music to the hard drive like you could on the past years? I have some music on a flash drive I have been playing but I can't find how you would save it to the raido.

2. For the assist and 911 button the mirror to be active do you need to setup an account with driveuconnect or how does that work?

I think that was all I had right now, but thanks to anyone that has the answers.

Re: Couple questions about my 14

1 - there is no more hard drive

You can use USB drive or a memory card

2 - yes with up to a tear free depending on model radio

just Select your uconnect system:
Uconnect® | Find the right Uconnect system for your Jeep® Vehicle

there is no more hard drive as bill said.

Re: Couple questions about my 14

I am a newbie to this forum. Coming from a 2009 Mercedes ML 350 fully loaded to a 2014 Jeep Overland v8 HEMI. One of the things that I am dissapointed about with the 2014 Jeep (supposed to be) state of the art 8.4 uconnect system is that it can't play video files (took away cd/DVD drive). I miss this because I was big on playing live concert DVD's in my mercedes when idled. While moving in the ML the video dropped but the sound continued to play. This was a nice feature that all Audi's and Mercedes, even BMW still have in their new vehicles.

Does anyone know if there is a way to play video files from let say your ipod or smartphone, even SD and or usb drive? If not, do you know if uconnect would be updated in the near future to support video files?

Let me know.

Re: Couple questions about my 14

You can still order the cd/dvd drive. If you opt for it, they put it in the console.

Re: Couple questions about my 14

Sounds good but is it a cd/dvd or just a cd player that is listed in the options for the 2014. is there a Model number? Also, do you know if it is a do it yourself install or do you have to go to dealer?

thank for the info.

Re: Couple questions about my 14

It's CD only, and it's a factory installed item, but there are a few guys here that would swap out the whole center console with you. The player takes up an ungodly amount of room.
