Re: D-Day 2012 Is Here

mka18,

Is there anything about the interior (or anything) you notice that's different from 2011?

It would be great if you could provide your thoughts on the new 6 speed when you get a chance.

Re: D-Day 2012 Is Here

No obvious differences that hopped out at me so far but I didn't have much seat time in a 2011. I did see the electric engine cooling fan and power steering. Wasn't sure if the 2011 had the electric fan or not. No 6 speed in the V6 Jeeps, that was reserved for the Hemi I believe. Manual for 2012 did have an ambient light color button in front of the shifter but it didn’t make it into mine, not sure what's up there. I saw it as aftermarket but it looked more OEM in this manual pic.

Really curious to learn what the major (if any) differences there are between 2011 and 2012 other than the obvious transmission change on the V8.

Does that mean that changing the ambient lighting colour is on the cards?? eventually maybe?

If the clear covered it up like that we might have to ride around comparing to see if it's really worth worrying about. Overall it's just crazy nice, black interior is just amazing in person.
Pure D eye candy!

If I were a betting man I'd say it's another one of those goodies that got pushed off until 2013. But...I have lost bets before.

Re: D-Day 2012 Is Here

That seams like a dumb place to put the ambient light color control button. Why not make it an option in the menu? How often would you change it?

Re: D-Day 2012 Is Here

Just to give everyone who is still waiting for their 2012 GC to be built for some reason mine is till as of 150pm CT still in (f) paint status. Going on 3 days now. My ETA according to them for shipping was 7/28 and still is in their system so its safe to say they are already falling behind in the process. They had no new info or any new estimated ship date. Not sure why its still in (F)- Paint stage still after 72 hours but it is what it is. I figured that was a 24 hour thing maybe not 72 hours. Looks like mine might become a dreaded Monday build. Hopefully, they're wide awake and sober comes Monday AM when they start working on mine.

Sorry for anyone that is in hope to hit their target ship dates as you can see from my experience I'm one day past that and still behind in the process.

Re: D-Day 2012 Is Here

Yours is probably built, just not updated in the system, they dont update every single process for every car.

FYI, My car has been in I status (built pending inspection) since 7/22 7:39am.
No updates so far, hopefully mine is in the process of shipping and will be updated with dealer delivery within the next week.

If you look at a lot of 2011 tracking, they go from I status straight to dealer delivery many times.
