Awesome, great mini-review. Thanks!

Funny, too, how you went from freezing cold to a super warm steering wheel and seats.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Hi from Gettysburg,

It's time for a new SUV as my 14 year old Durango is on its last legs (wheels?). Is the group buy still available?

Thanks, in advance, to all who worked on it. I read a lot of this thread, and it seems a lot of work went in to it.

Re: DC metro area group buy

What is the process for inspection for those from out of state who bought from Koons? Its understood that Koons puts a VA inspection sticker on it. Do you simply take it to an inspection station in your home state and pay for another inspection when you get home? Or is anyone planning on running the VA inspection sticker out for the year, if that's even legal? One benefit with the diesel is no emissions inspection.

Don't know if it is legal or not... however, the VA sticker in the middle of the windshield annoys me enough that I am going to have my tire guy replace it with a PA inspection sticker in the "right" place when I get my new shoes tomorrow.

Same here picked up my Jeep back in August and just got my PA tags last week from Koons. Would like to know if I have to get it reinspected in PA or ride it out till it's due.

Yeah I'm going to switch mine out as soon as I get back to the area as well. That would probably annoy me as well. New shoe's already? Don't like the stock rubber?

They aren't very exactly all terrain tires... switching to Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain Adventure in 265/65r18. Slightly larger... about an extra inch diameter.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Hi all,
I'm interested in the DC group buy. Turns out I can't send a PM until I have two posts. Therefore, I am making my second post.
Now, hopefully I can get the info on the DC group buy.

Just got home from buying a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara through the group buy! Unbelievably easy process!

My wife and decided that now was the time to pull the trigger on a new Jeep. The hard part was going to be finding exactly what she wanted because it's an unusual build (or so I thought). None of the dealers near me had what we were looking for, but Koons had EXACTLY, what we wanted in their huge inventory! We got a White 6speed manual transmission Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with the dark saddle/black interior. It also has heated leather seats, connectivity group, and Nav. The supplemental air bags, premium soft top, and tow group were bonus!

Once we saw this jeep online, I sent Nader an email on Thursday night. He called me Friday (yesterday) morning and we worked everything out over the phone. I'm so happy they extended the group buy pricing to the 2014 Wranglers! Nader was AWESOME!

I traded in a car and we even worked out the trade value over the phone. Given what everyone was saying on this thread, I was very realistic as to what I could expect on trade in. I had gone to a local dealer and had them give me a price and Koon's matched it. It was between the 'good' and 'very good' estimated from KBB. Again, I was realistic in what I wanted for it knowing they didn't have a lot of room since the price of the Jeep was 7% below invoice.

Nader told me (if my credit was good) they could match or beat my best financing rate. I went with 2.24% and they CRUSHED it with what they could do. I couldn't be more pleased. Nader had other group buy customers at the same time but still gave me great service and attention. He was running around like crazy and I appreciate how helpful he was! (By the way, I asked him how many group buy sales Koons had and he said he wasn't sure but over 50; WOW!)!

Anyway, I couldn't be happier with the process and experience through this group buy. It was definitely the best deal I've ever gotten on a new vehicle and most certainly worth the 90 mile drive from PA!

Thanks Nader and Koons! And, thanks BigWave and everyone involved in the group buy!

Crappy cell phone pic attached!
