My wife and decided that now was the time to pull the trigger on a new Jeep. The hard part was going to be finding exactly what she wanted because it's an unusual build (or so I thought). None of the dealers near me had what we were looking for, but Koons had EXACTLY, what we wanted in their huge inventory! We got a White 6speed manual transmission Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with the dark saddle/black interior. It also has heated leather seats, connectivity group, and Nav. The supplemental air bags, premium soft top, and tow group were bonus!

Once we saw this jeep online, I sent Nader an email on Thursday night. He called me Friday (yesterday) morning and we worked everything out over the phone. I'm so happy they extended the group buy pricing to the 2014 Wranglers! Nader was AWESOME!

I traded in a car and we even worked out the trade value over the phone. Given what everyone was saying on this thread, I was very realistic as to what I could expect on trade in. I had gone to a local dealer and had them give me a price and Koon's matched it. It was between the 'good' and 'very good' estimated from KBB. Again, I was realistic in what I wanted for it knowing they didn't have a lot of room since the price of the Jeep was 7% below invoice.

Nader told me (if my credit was good) they could match or beat my best financing rate. I went with 2.24% and they CRUSHED it with what they could do. I couldn't be more pleased. Nader had other group buy customers at the same time but still gave me great service and attention. He was running around like crazy and I appreciate how helpful he was! (By the way, I asked him how many group buy sales Koons had and he said he wasn't sure but over 50; WOW!)!

Anyway, I couldn't be happier with the process and experience through this group buy. It was definitely the best deal I've ever gotten on a new vehicle and most certainly worth the 90 mile drive from PA!

Thanks Nader and Koons! And, thanks BigWave and everyone involved in the group buy!

Crappy cell phone pic attached!
Congrats. I'm glad it worked out for your and the family. Great looking JKU.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Everyone, I had the best car buying experience with Nader at Koons in Tysons. He was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable of the '14 JGC. When I showed-up, he immediately confirmed the quoted out-the-door price on a JGC that I emailed him about a week ago. He did not pressure me to buy any other car or add-on features. Heck, I pressed him on purchasing wheel locks for the car!

The one hiccup during the whole process was the most minor scratch on my bumper that Koons quickly buffed out in 30 seconds. There was no hassle about me being very particular /anal retentive in fixing this issue. Once fixed, I was on my way home.

Of course, the group buy price was what got me to go to Nader. But for future Jeeps (and there will be more), I will always start with Nader and the folks at Koons.

Thanks to JeepGarage for the group buy. If anyone is interested in buying a JGC, call Nader first. He'll take care of you without trying to pressure you into buying something you're not interested in.

To those folks who are new to the GB, welcome. Take a look through the posts and you'll see we've experienced some growing pains which we worked through. Since our first successes, the JGC has become a very popular vehicle, and the dealership we're working with is one, if not the, highest volume dealers in the area. Please keep this in mind when working with them -- it could take a day or two for them to get back to you.

I offer up a few suggestions based off of my experience from the beginning:

1) please PM me your email address if you'd like to be connected with those we're working with. Other GBs faltered b/c the dealers they were working with got bombarded with inquiries and they weren't equipped to deal with it. In addition, we were asked to go only through a single rep who has been phenomenal to work with -- he's even come in on his days off to pick people up from the airport and train station. I certainly didn't expect that commitment;
2) remain patient, remember this isn't like an online purchase from Amazon -- there will be paperwork which the dealership has to prepare and they have to devote time to each purchase. Not to mention, these guys do get days off during the week, and those aren't necessarily the same each week.
3) if the deal is something you're comfortable with, great, we think you'll like the end result. If you're not comfortable with it, thank you for your interest and good luck with your purchase.

Long story short -- PM me your email address if you're ready to pull the trigger and order.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Thanks everyone for the quick response.

Posted here Sunday evening got contact at Koons shortly thereafter.

Email to Nader Sunday night with stock number of vehicle on the lot that I wanted to purchase.

Monday morning Nader called. Standard JeepGarage group buy figures. Gave ok over the phone. Nader said car would be ready first thing Tuesday AM.

440am tuesday morning amtrak from penn station nyc to union station dc. metro red to metro orange to Dunn station. Nader picked my up at the metro station right on time. Car cleaned-up, ready and waiting outside the dealership. Took about 1 hour 45 minutes to finish all paper work and drive of the lot. There was small vig on the taxes as described in earlier posts. No other hidden fees no tricks. Clean pain free deal. Finance guy did try to up-sell the warranty did a 15 minute pitch. Was a nice guy just doing his job. Politely declined. 36 month 0% apr. Walked out the door with the car keys not a penny down. Frighteningly simple process. Many thanks to the organizers of this group buy. Nader was OUTSTADNING to deal with, a stand-up guy.

Full tank of gas and detailed car. Drove it home. Amazed at the smoothness of the ride and the lack of road noise. Hemi pulls very strong. Basically got the hemi "for free" by going with the group buy compared to local deals.

After reading this thread I can say that my transaction went very smoothly and exactly as expected. Highly recommended.

Congratulations on your new ride. Koons has been a pleasure to deal with for most of us. I didn't mention the forum, and I was buying a durango R/T, but I ended up with a really good price for them and the even beat my friends and family price without me asking.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Wow this is perfect. I literally almost pulled the trigger in a new jeep last week... Just can't decide if I want to go with a 2012-13 V8 or a new 2014 V6...bust that's a topic for another discussion. Who do I contact to get more detail on this group buy?

Edit:
By the way, are you guys getting price discounts in addition to or lower than the "WOW" prices?
