Thx, I've been monitoring those websites and others in the DC area for quite awhile. Bought my 2000 GC Limited fm Farrish when they were first setting up their internet sales in late 99 and got a great deal on it. My 2000 is due for annual inspection in Apr, and between needing new tires, a cracked windshield my son just acquired for me and probable brake work, figure now is the time to put $ into a new one vice $1500 in a 14 yr old vehicle just to get this one to pass inspection -- not to mention the little things we all come to live with as our vehicles age.

Farrish, Koons and Lindsay are all within an easy drive. Avoid Ourisman and especially Dulles. Not sure about Fair Oaks. it was a shame Manassas Jeep sold out to Lindsay they were the best Jeep dealer in the area.

Re: DC metro area group buy

I got quotes from all the local dealers when I was looking to upgrade, nobody was beating this group buy. The internet prices at other dealers look attractive but they include every possible rebate, even rebates the conflict, military rebates, etc. I've heard a few people say they've gotten other dealers to match it, but not beat it.

Might want to check Lindsay again. Their prices seem to beat the DC group buy but I dont have the exact numbers and I have problems counting if I run out of fingers and toes.

Example 2014 GC overland MSRP $54875 internet price $47800

Re: DC metro area group buy

I picked up my Summit from Criswell last week of November.
I am very happy with the deal I got.
Suffice to say, they beat this group buy's discount and also got me a really great price on my trade-in.
Speak to Leon Travis - he was awesome to deal with. Very polite and knowledgable about the vehicle. No BS. If he didn't know the answer he would be honest about it.

Re: DC metro area group buy

I would just recommend that everybody compare the out the door numbers from identical vehicles. Doesn't matter how it is sliced and diced and manipulated to try and confuse you keep the eye on the out the door numbers that is all that matters in the end concerning price, if someone else comes in better on the OTD go for it, I would.

Something else to consider is that those MSRPs have been going up over the past few months, I have been keeping an eye on them. The identical optioned Summit I bought in April is now $1400 more MSRP. Raise the MSRP price and now they can give a bigger discount LOL its all how the game goes. Happy Buying

I'm a couple of days late to this, but Nader told me Koons could beat whatever financing I brought (as long as I had good credit). Boy was he right, Koons knocked it out of the park on financing for me!

As far as a trade in which I think you also asked about, Nader will tell you straight up that you may be better off going to CarMax. There's just no room for them to 'play the game' of giving you a great trade value which typically equates to less off the price of the new car. I went to another, local dealer and had them give me an offer for my car. I didn't negotiate with that other dealer at all...just got a first pass value on my trade in. When I called Nader, I told him what I had been offered and Koons was able to give me that same amount. After talking with Nader and reading others' experiences on this thread, I was realistic about my trade. I ended up getting somewhere between the KBB good and very good price and was happy with that all things considered!

I just cannot say enough about how awesome the group buy experience was for me.

Good luck!

Agree. Many years ago was helping my sis buy an Acura Integra. Sales puke I was dealing with aid yep that is the OTD bottom line price. I said great we will be there at 730pm have the car ready to go. I said you understand out the door bottom line price. He said he did. Got there and it wasnt the OTD price. I said thanks @#$%$ for wasting my time and we walked. Found another Integra at another dealer for that price. This sales puke called 2 days later and said I can sell you the car for that price. I told him to shove where the sun dont shine. Typical sales puke doesnt matter if its cars or real estate they just dont listen.

Last BMW I purchased sales fool said I cant sell you the car at that price. I had a deal with another dealer for that price sO I knew he could so I said I dont care if you can feeed your family or not spend a little less on your suits and maybe they wont get Hamburger Helper 5 nights a week. he stepped away for a delivery of a 7 series. Sales manager came by and asked if he could help. i said sell me this car at this price he said sure. This dealer was closer and at the time had the best service department.

Car sales persons and real estate agents should spend a little time in rendition and maybe they would listen to their customers.

You do realize that if you finance through the dealer that dealer makes even more money. I havent found a car dealer whose financing could beat Pen Fed or NFCU.

how do you beat Chrysler Capital at 0% for 36 months? thats what koons provided to me. if you need longer term 0.9% 48mo and 1.9% 60mo also were available through CC at koons.

I went in with PenFed and dealer beat it. The dealerships do have agreements worked out with banks (mostly local) -- works for me as long as the bottom line skews in my favor. Even if they can't beat PenFed or NFCU, those CUs are offering great rates.

That's funny. When we tried to get a deal close from Criswell, I had 3 or 4 levels of management calling me for a week telling me the group buy deal was a lease price, I'd never get it at that price, I didn't know what I was doing and was being fooled, etc. They never flexed on their initial price. They were actually the most expensive deal for us out of 3 dealers. Century in Mount Airy beat them too. I would definitely have bought at Century if Koons fell through. Very honest and upfront. Johnny, the sales manager, even told us to check our the deal and if it was legit to jump on it. We're planning on picking up our GC from Nader next week (I saw from Milous it was on the truck for delivery this morning).
