Nice! Mind if I ask how far your credit score dropped after securing the new loan? I didn't bother to check how big of a dip I received when I bought my old car in 2011 so I'm curious. I take some pride in that 750+ score!

Good question... I didn't check actually. Only loan, other than house, that we have right now... Not sure how much of an effect it should have.

Thumbs up Re: DC metro area group buy

Hi Everyone:

Just wanted to share that after a long wait, I was finally able to make the jump and join the ranks of very satisfied GB participants.

Started the process just before the Thanksgiving holiday. Spoke to Nader and it just so happened that they had a White/Light Frost Overland inbound. It came in last week and I picked it up on Saturday.

The experience from start to finish was one of the smoothest I've had. Kudos to Nader and the rest of the sales team at Koons.

A special thanks to BigWave and the rest of the folks that put the GB together initially and, of course, to all who've participated and made it a success for everyone.

I refi-d my house in June with a great credit score, and Koons' credit score search was 5 points less when I bought in September. They may have used one of the three reporting, only asked for one, or they took my word for it. I also bank with BofA.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Are you boys through with your pretentious ramblings about supporting small businesses. Koons is not and has not been a small business since at least 1965. They have been one of the DCs areas largest dealerships since the mid 1960's. They do not get their auto financing from local banks like Burke and Herbert or The Fauquier Bank. So lets drop the you are helping small businesses crap. You arent.

SW03Es you are a real estate broker are you with Remax, Century 21 or Long Foster or another one of the big ones? Small business yeah right. Real estate agents destroyed Montgomery County and the school system their.

All I said was check out Lindsay and Farrish which are both smaller and more local than Koons to see what the prices are like in the DC area.

Sorry I dont give dealerships my financing business prefer to give it to Navy Federal Credit Union or Pentagon Federal Credit Union so that my business helps the enlisted members of our armed services and DOD employees who are fighting, dying and sacrificing for this country unlike the real estate agents of Montgomery County, MD. I give one of my credit unions my business even if dealer is offering 0%.

I get all my beef, poultry, lamb, and pork from my local butcher shop who sources are all local. My dairy products come from local farms as does most of my produce.

I support local restaurants in NOVA and not chains.

My dogs and I support local herding trials which in turn supports local herding clubs and farms. I put in 16 to 20 hours this coming weekend working a herding trial which help keep local farms in the hands of individual owners and out of hands of corporate farms, real estate development firms and most of all real estate agents.

I dont buy my tires and wheels from Tire Rack or Discount Tire but from the same local tire shop in Silver Spring, MD locally owned by UMD alum. My family and I have probably spent well over $50K there over last 26 years. This local tire shop has always beaten Tire Racks prices by at least $50 bottom line price out the door and on the car.

So lets drop this bull that I have something against small business. I dealt exclusively with Manassas Jeep, a small single store dealership for years. I dropped well over $20K at my local audio/home theater dealer.

I want the dealership to make a fair profit but not at the expense of my CUs which beat dealership financing.

So save your pretentious ramblings and self importance for someone who cares boys and girls. And blow me!

And all we said was that we had done that and that the group buy pricing was better, which apparently you can't handle because you had to vomit out another huge ego fueled diatribe about your life and why it makes you the best person on earth to be telling us all whats what. You've been here one month...this thread is 109 pages long with 1,300 posts, are you so arrogant that you think nobody has ever price shopped this deal until you graced us with your opinion?

You always seem to tell us your life story when you get the opportunity, your CCA courses, your stupid dogs you herd or whatever. We don't give a shit. You have felt the need to tell us repeatedly that you teach BMW CCA courses and split your time between that and herding trials with purebred sheepdogs for fun, and let us know that you've spent $20k on home theatre equipment and WE'RE pretentious?!?

Seeing how obnoxious you've been here since you joined here last month whenever anybody disagrees with you...obviously nobody blows you anymore. Next you'll tell us you've dropped $20k on that with local professionals too LOL

Step 1: Locate price advertisement from Tire Rack in your Save the Children/ Burberry catalog

Step 2: Bring advertisement in to your "local" tire shop.

Step 3: Some how your tire shop gets you a great price of $50 less then Tire Rack.

hmmmmm

On a positive note, I now know why I don't sleep at night.

Carry on....I guess.
