Re: DC metro area group buy

New member here looking to participate in this group buy. I will send a PM to BigWave for specifics on how to do it.

I'm assuming you're the same fun2drive I was communicating with on that "other" (not sure if you're allowed to mention it) jeep forum. If you wouldn't mind sending me the info you have, that would be great!

Re: DC metro area group buy

Hey, quick question for those who ordered the LuxII package as opposed to just getting the RA4 (8.4 nav) and GWA (single pane sunroof) packages - do you feel that the difference was warranted? I'm trying to cut back on the cost a bit more, and am on the fence between LUXII or no LuxII, and RA4.

I'm posting here since the cost difference is unique for our group buy, but it amounts to:

LuxII Invoice as of today: 3560
Ra4 with LuxII: 356

Ra4 without LuxII: 797
Single Pane Sunroof: 886

(3560 + 356 - 797 - 886) * .93 and then whatever your tax rate on that is. That comes out to $2076 difference before tax, and for me $2215.83 after taxes.

For the difference, you lose:

panaromic dual pane changes to single pane
auto high beam headlamps
auto headlamp leveling
bi-xenon hid
leather trim seats with perf inserts to capri trimmed leather seats
led daytime running headlamps to normal daytime running headlamps
power tilt/telescope steering
rain sensitive wipers
roadside assistance
uconnect access advantage? - not sure what that is
ventilated front seats - the difference in leather seats

I think the one thing I'd miss the most is really the bi-xenons, but I see several threads about aftermarket HIDs? I haven't read through them all yet to see how difficult that is to do, or how costly it is. So my question is, for those who got the limited without the LuxII, do you wish you had paid the cost difference, and those with the LuxII, do you wish you had saved money and gone without?

Good luck...

I don't have a 2014 but when I bought my 2011 Limited I wanted the LuxII package but couldn't find one so I settled. After a few months I regretted the decision. Now I have a 2012 Overland which got me the LuxII items and a few others; I'm much happier. $2400 over a four year loan is $52/month -- that's a dinner out.

It's a great truck with or without. HIDs give it the updated appearance and vented seats are a nice feature. We like having LuxII.

I thought I would regret not getting the lux II package, but that's not the case. $2k+ to me was probably not worth the added cost, particularly when I could mod the headlights down the road.

I somewhat regret not getting the tech package... but I keep trying to convince myself that I don't.

Great thread! Thinking seriously about leasing an Overland or Summit.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Likely going in tomorrow to purchase from Nader. All pricing looks to be in order except sales tax which seems to be $55 high.

Question is, on the Jeep website under incentives there is a box stating $500 bonus cash on select models. When I click on that it brings me back to the incentives page. Anyone know if that's good on the Overland?

Thanks
