Awesome, well that's certainly good to know. It isn't a ton of money, but it'll at least cover a trip or two to starbucks.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Just left the dealer. Sticker is 50,385 and I've got a deal on the table for $45,000 + tax, tiltle etc...Seems better than the DC group buy. Sound like a fair deal? Im in Boston.

What model and options are you looking at?

I saw in your other posts you mentioned an Overland + V8.

If I did this right:

MSRP for that (and no extra options) would be $50,385.
Invoice + $995 destination for that would be $47,779.

$47,779 minus the 7% DC group buy would be $44,434.

Re: DC metro area group buy

You are correct. For some reason I thought the DC by was 5%. Not having to fly or take the train from Boston to DC is worth the extra money to me.

Looks like you got a 5.8% discount. Compared to what dealers down here are offering, that's pretty awesome!

Find out what the local dealers fees are, too, because that's relevant.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Just got back from the dealer about 2 hours ago. Picked up my 2014 Limited 4x4 with Lux II, ORAI, and Nav. Nader was simply terrific to deal with. He was straight forward, honest, helpful, and just went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. He did mention that this group buy probably won't continue for the 2015 models so if anyone out there is truly interested, get your orders in fast!

The 60 mile drive home was fun. I tried really hard not to slam the gas considering my new beast only had 15 miles on it. Tell you what though; I'm in love. The sound system, ride, etc. was just awesome. Couldn't be more happy with my new GC!

feel free to slam the gas, this is right from the owners manual

ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS
A long break-in period is not required for the engine and
drivetrain (transmission and axle) in your vehicle.
Drive moderately during the first 300 miles (500 km).
After the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or
55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.
While cruising, brief full-throttle acceleration within the
limits of local traffic laws contributes to a good break-in.
Wide-open throttle acceleration in low gear can be detrimental
and should be avoided.

Thanks for the info. I e-mailed them a couple of weeks back to ask if the group buy was going to extend to '15 models (I don't move back to the 'states until this summer), but got no reply.

I've been following this thread for some time now and I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a new diesel overland. I was wondering if this deal only applies to orders or can this deal be applied to something that Nadar has on the lot?

Thanks everyone this community has been a great resource for me as I look to enter the jeep family.

Works with what is on the lot too. When he called to talk to me the first thing he did was check to see if what I wanted was already available.
