Re: DC metro area group buy

I heard back from Safford, they are out.
I have not heard back from Farrish.
Suggest going with Koons is where the group is already heading. Let's keep the wind in these sails and commit to Koons. Thanks only1tobin for getting us there!

I have to step out for a bit but will get the spreadsheet updated and send an email to the list of name I have. Still need your email only1tobin to get you everybody's address.

Congrats to those that already ordered.

Public Service Announcement: Let's please try to send orders through Nader Mohammadian (cell: 571-278-4133; email: n.mohammadian@koonsauto.com). He is the sales associate that I worked with originally and was extremely helpful. I would not want to short change him any sales if at all possible. Tom is well aware of the 7% off invoice deal and will sign off on it.

Also, gwnewman, why don't you do CarMax for the trade-in? I'm purposefully keeping trade-in discussions separate from purchasing discussions for this very reason.

On the quotes I have from Tom they have Nader attached as the sales associate, so it looks like Tom is taking care of him.

Excellent. That's great to know. Tom seems like a stand up guy, so figured he would, but just wanted to make sure.

I held back the trade-in until after I settled on a price. That said, Tom called me about half an hour after I left the dealership and met me in the middle. Still a little less than I was looking for, but far more acceptable. I'll go over there tomorrow night to sign the paperwork. Maybe if I'm lucky the Jeep will have been delivered.

That said, even with me leaving after the first offer, Tom was very respectful and neither one of them was pushy at all, a HUGE change from other dealers I've been through. Like I said, Tom hooked me up with Joe when I got there, very nice guy. Crossing my fingers we don't lose anything in the translation tomorrow.

Just emailed Nader! Thanks of putting this together.

What car/options are you getting? Just curious. I will be speaking with them tomorrow and locking mine down. Hopefully I can get my trade in done at Carmax before going out there so I have solid numbers.

Just thought of one thing. Does Koons put stickers or anything on the back of the vehicles to advertise? I absolutely hate that and will ask Nader (get in writing that I don't want that).

Thanks JC

I'm pretty sure they do. Let me know if you can get them to leave the sticker off. Figure you've got a good chance since you're ordering brand new.

Limited in Max Steel/black interior. 8.4" Uconnect (RA4), moonroof, ORA-I and towing.

I'm interested in seeing how this Uconnect Access thing works. From the info on driveuconnect.com, it looks like it has Pandora...SWEET!

Re: DC metro area group buy

For those of you that provided me an email address, you should have received my note to the dealer sales manager and the rep that only1tobin worked with to reach the deal. Included in that note was the attached updated spread sheet. I ask that you get in touch with the dealer folks separately to confirm your specific truck/ordering.

While I hold my final big thank you until my key fob is in hand....
Thank you all for your participation to this point. I hope this works out for all of us.

How long ago did you send it? I didn't see anything in my email.
