Re: DC metro area group buy

After placing my order last week based on wisdom earned by reading this forum, I decided it was time to become a Jeep Garage supporter. Among the benefits of paid membership at Level III or above is that while waiting for your new jeep you get access to information about the build from order to delivery (thanks Milous!). At Level IV you also get a comprehensive build sheet at completion. The Jeep Vehicle Order Tracking System (VOTS) was never as complete or as easy as tracking by Milous, and right now VOTS is not functional—it's being redesigned, according to a note I got from Chrysler.

So do go ahead and take advantage of the DC group buy (it's a great deal!), and then consider kicking back a few bucks to support the forum!

Re: DC metro area group buy

Just got home (4+ hours) from buying my GC Limited with the diesel.
Everything was just as Nader stated and the transaction was smooth and seamless.
I was able to take advantage of the 0% financing for 36 months without any money down!

A fantastic deal!!

thanks you Jeep Garage!!

Re: DC metro area group buy

smljeep,

I think we were probably down there at the same time. I arrived at approx. 10:00 this morning and left around 2PM I think? Anyway, I also just got home to Upstate, NY. Jeep was flawless and amazing for all 350 miles. EVIC average of 29.9 MPG for the trip. I have completely forgiven Jeep for not shipping the one I ordered. The one I picked up from Nader is better in every way, and I like the Crystal Granite much more than I thought I would.

Everything was great, interest rates better than expected, love my Diesel Jeep.

Congrants smljeep!

Re: DC metro area group buy

Hey everyone,

I was planning on holding off with posting here till I took delivery and had some pics, but I encountered an interesting situation with my factory delivery. Maybe something, most likely nothing...

The process till now has been really straight forward and pleasant. No surprises. However, today I spoke with our contact salesman to schedule a pick up of my vehicle. He initially called me on 5/6 to tell me the vehicle is due in very soon. According to Milous's tracking the vehicle was delivered to Koons on 5/7/14. Even Jeep's tracking tells me the vehicle was delivered.

Talking with our salesman today, I was told that the vehicle is not on the lot, still in transit and should be arriving any day now. So, at this point I'm a little confused and some paranoia is starting to rear its head (I'm envisioning the worst, lol )

Anybody else encountered this situation within the GB? I'm 95% sure it's nothing, but figured I'll ask fellow forum goers since you guys are a great source of information.

Aside from this, I'm really looking forward to getting this jeep!!

Congrats to smljeep and Zhe Wiz, and thanks for sharing your very positive experiences with the Group Buy. My trip to Koons will be in about 3 weeks if all goes well.

I thought that deal had closed at the end of April. I was planning to pay cash, but I would definitely take 0% for 36 mos if it's an option.

Did you also get a 0% offer?

Great to know others are buying diesels. Did Nader give you a full tank?

I financed @ 1.5% over 5 years. Also available was 1.8x% over 6 years and 0% over 3.

Yes! Both the DEF tank AND the Diesel tank were FULL when I picked it up. 350+ miles later and the tank is still half full (not half empty!).

Nader didn't have my radio updated to the latest software (though I asked him to), and the finance guy was busy so I waited for over an hour. Those are my only complaints.

On the other hand, the guy who originally ordered my Jeep requested that no front plate be installed. Nader called and asked if I wanted it left that way, with no front plate bracket. (I did, for now anyway) He also removed the Koons sticker from the back. I had requested none be placed on the one I ordered (still not shipped by Jeep) but never said anything to him about removing it from the one I chose off the lot.

SRTProspect...sorry about your iffy experience. I can't say nothing has happened to your Jeep, but I can say I'd be confidant that no matter what it is Nader and Koons will make it right if anything HAS happened. They're definitely trying hard to do right by us group buyers.

Now it's time to learn the intricacies of updating the radio...

Re: DC metro area group buy

A couple of comments:
Yes Wiz I think we were there the same time. He said he had 4 group buys yesterday!
I was originally planning on paying mostly cash but with the 0% financing it's a no brainer to use Chryslers money.
I also got what I thought of a a great deal on Jeeps maintenance plan...15 oil changes and services for $1195. With the costs of the special diesel oil and the filters I could not buy the parts for that kind of money.
Yes both the fuel and DEF tank were 100% full and after over a 200+ mile drive home the fuel tank is on 3/4 full and the DEF tank still reads 100%

My only "issue" on the drive home is that the UConnect screen went dark after a while. The nav and Serious radio continued to work but I could not see the screen. I shut off the GC and when I restarted it it came back on but after a few minutes went dark again....Any ideas?

Now I can PM. I'm looking for a white unicorn of a Jeep...I have found some on lots but the two I found have front plates on them. I live in PA and don't need a front plate.
I'm planning on getting a white Diesel, Lux2, OR2, nav, or my second choice would be a Diesel LUX2, OR1, TRailer group, nav one.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Called today about the group buy. Nader told me it's no longer possible to order a 2014 from the factory. He said I'd have to wait a month and order a 2015 and that he would still honor the group buy price on a 2015. I'm guessing the 2015 won't come out until the end of the year. I'm not sure I can wait that long haha! He did say if I could find a 2014 in his inventory he'd let me buy it for the group buy price. Unfortunately it's hard to find a white limited with V8, lux2, tech, 20", and 8.4AN.

Ummm...

Did I just hear that the dealer is going to honor the group buy for 2015 model year JGCs?

That's pretty huge... unless you're just getting special treatment.
