Re: DC metro area group buy

looking at Wiz's link my deal comes out to right at 5% below invoice
I am happy with that and was able to get a dealer local to me to meet that. Thanks for sharing all the info hopefully my little bit I added can help someone else in the future.

Re: DC metro area group buy

5% under locally is a good deal. I couldn't get anyone near me to get anywhere close to the DC group buy price, so a driving I did go. We'll see how the local service department treats me soon, recall coming and a couple of TSBs that need to be applied now.

As Dan_JGC pointed out, the DC group discount is 7% below invoice (or slightly more than 12% below MSRP). After the additional $499 dealer fee, the net discount for my DC group buy purchase of an eco-diesel summit was 6.08% below invoice (or 11.35% below MSRP). The net discount is a bit smaller for less expensive builds, since the fee is a fixed value of $499 for all builds.

Lic/reg/sales tax are additional.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Just picked up my 2014 Grand Cherokee Diesel Limeted from Nader. As others have reported it was a very positive experience. He picked me up at the train station and we went to the dealership, Upon leaving he asked that I remind everyone that the group buy pricing has been extended to the 2015 models.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Made the trip down to DC from NYC last weekend after speaking with Nader for the past few weeks. When I met him on Saturday morning, he had the car we had been discussing (Limited Ecodiesel in Max Steel with only 2 miles) sitting in the front lot. It was a great buying experience and exactly the way everyone else has described on this forum, a hassle-free transaction. Nader and Christine were both great to work and it was well worth the trip down from New York. While doing the paperwork, the car was detailed and prepped for the drive home (filled up the gas tank, topped off the DEF levels and also addressed a couple of issues I noticed). The car ran great and far-exceeded my expectations on the drive back up I-95 and can't wait until the weekend to give it another go. Even my wife wants to drive the car again and she barely ever drives and usually just lounges in the passenger seat.

Re: DC metro area group buy

2015 Wrx limited, got 22 for the jeep and got the Wrx for under 29 out the door, the jeep had 40k, blew an axle out, had to replace alternator, shocks were going( maybe had to do with the lift and extra weight from audio and tires, the jeep was getting 11-13 mpg consistently, and now I'm getting 26-28, it was a great move for myself at this time. I do miss the comfort ability of the jeep the cockpit feel, it was great. I've always been into fast cars and got the jeep to hold myself down from tickets for a while which did work, but got me always being heavy footed because I wanted more and the intake pretty much just was a noise maker in reality

Re: DC metro area group buy

Hello all, I just wanted to chime in with my appreciation for all those involved with this group buy. I am a JK owner making the transition to the WK. This last weekend we, my wife and I, flew to DC to make our purchase. We flew out with the intent of purchasing an Overland but ended driving off with a Summit . We spent the weekend in DC putting on a few miles in our new purchase then drove 800 miles home...and what a great drive. I am sure I am not saying anything that you all already know, but I love this beast, 800 miles felt like nothing.

Anyway, the purpose here is to thank all those that made this possible.

To Nader, thank you for making this a great experience. This is what the car buying experience should be.

To BigWave et al. Thank you for putting this group buy together. I do not want to leave anybody out but want to say thank you.

Re: DC metro area group buy

First, thank you to the folks who put together this group buy and also to everyone who has taken the time to contribute to this thread. I had a trash truck back into, then on, then over my parked car on Friday and as a result have to acquire a replacement a little bit quicker than I would like for a purchase this large. I'll be sending a PM to Big Wave shortly but if anyone with the group buy information sees this post and can PM the info, I would be much appreciated. Again, thanks to everyone involved in this thread, all of you have helped make this entire ordeal a lot less stressful for me.

Re: DC metro area group buy

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who made this group buy possible! I had a very pleasant experience with Nader over the phone and found him to be open and honest. While I didn't end up buying from him, I would highly recommend this group buy. I visited 6 other dealerships in the DC area and only 1 of them was able to match the group buy price (for something on their lot). I ended up buying from this other dealer because they had one on their lot equipped exactly the way I wanted (I would have had to do a factory order with Koons).
