On line Virginia DMV says it works just like Mass. All the registration, insurance, title and tax work gets done in the state where the vehicle is registered. Nothing has to be done in VA if the vehicle is sold there but not registered there.

Did Nadar tell you no to the sale or someone else? Maybe try and get a little more detail on specifically why from him especially since its cash. They must have a good reason to refuse a solid sale I cant imagine specifically what it is though.

DC metro area group buy

Ok everyone im from New York City and I'm moving to the next step in purchasing my first car.. I contacted Nader and gave him the description exactly of what i want in my 2015 jeep grand cherokee summit.. He returned an email with a price quote lower then my " friends of family" quoted price by $3800.00.. He sent me a quote with directions to sign and agree for the great price and send it back to him.. I'm going to make the next step today and call him to figure out how to make the deposit.. I am also going to figure out how much is the expense of traveling over there to deduct from my total savings.. One step at a time to getting my car..

He often picks people up from metro or airport you could ask him about that. Good Luck

Yea, you can take the choo-choo from NYC to DC and the Metro out to Dun Loring or Vienna when it's time to get your car. Nader routinely picks folks up.

A one-way ticket on Amtrak isn't that expensive and it's a pleasant ride to DC. You do need to make one change on the Metro from the Red Line to the Orange Line, but that's easy to navigate.

I caught a 6am train from Penn Station to DC, which cost $80. I nearly paid more for a later train, but I decided it would be smart to allow time for any glitches. It worked out well, so traffic was fairly light when I first started driving the new car. For me the hardest part of the entire trip was figuring out how to use the machine to buy a single metro ticket to Dunn Loring metro station

LOL I hear you there...and am glad I have a SmartCard for the DC Metro since I'm down there for business frequently. You need to hop on one foot while twirling around and chanting "there's no home like home" in order to get a single ride ticket of the correct value out of those vending machines!

The metro silver line items the 26th of this month. The second Tysons stop (Greensboro Drive) is basically across the street from Koons. That would be more convenient, probably 1/2 mile away total.

You'd only have to twirl 3 times for the silver line since its new ;-)

That's good to know, Mike...I have been wondering when that new line would start operations! It's certainly been under construction for what seems like an eon...

Yup. Greensboro station actually empties out next to the parking garage at my office on one side. We've been wondering where folks will go since there's nothing connected on our side yet. New owners of our building are working feverishly on mods.

Keeping it thread related, Nader was great for our GC purchase Wish all transactions were that easy.
