Resist the urge to go it alone if you can so we can negotiate the best deal there.
Sounds good I would probably be interested in that also. The place at the link below has lifetime with a $100 deduct for $2185. Maybe they can beat that on a group rate?

I just contacted Thomas Higgins and mentioned that we already had a price of under $2200 for Lifetime Unlimited Miles Maximum Care. I asked him what he could do for a group. I'll call him shortly and follow up.

I would advise anyone filling out paperwork or picking up their cars to not purchase the warranty until we work out our rate.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Picked mine up a couple of hours ago.. Love the color, drives great and love the electronic goodies.. Need to read the manuals and figure this all out.

Loving the Quadra-Lift and my wife loves the power lift gate. So glad I upped myself to the Limited.

Thanks again for everyone getting this all together.

Yeah it's a sticker.. It's coming off as soon as I finish my dinner. I purchased a 2013 Mustang GT from Koons on July 4th that I had to do the same thing to.

Cool, thanks. The long wait for the CRD is getting really tough... I keep seeing these gorgeous max steel beauties OTHER PEOPLE are getting to drive.

Nice ride. Looks really good, especially those wheels and the tow hooks are a nice touch too. Interior looks great too. Congrats to you and everyone else picking up a 2014.

Re: DC metro area group buy

So, first impressions. It's great. Got my Sat channels programmed and the gauge cluster screen set up, it's definitely nice. Rides like butter, it's crazy quiet inside. I'm almost positive the lights are HIDs, which I wasn't expecting, Doofoo, are your outside bulbs HIDs?

Two things I noticed, might be because I drove it off the lot wth all of 4 miles. It's a little jerky coming down to a stop, might just be the brakes seating or the transmission doing it's learning thing. I picked my last one up with 200 on the clock.

Also, I have what i'd call a "burning" smell coming into the cabin at a stop, like the one you'd smell after turning your house heat on for the first time in a season (I was running the heat in it too). Checked the engine bay and whatnot, smells like it's coming off the lights. Is there a burn in period (literally) for those? If not, it's going straight back to Koons tomorrow!

They are not HID's, just regular halogen bulbs (projector housings I think). 2nd, the transmission control module is still learning mine was a little jerky as well - seems to be clearing up since I put 100 miles on it.

The last thing of the smell is normal, it's all the oils and whatnot on the exhaust, manifold, etc burning off. Should go away shortly.

One question I have - how the heck do you turn the radio station (up and down), and adjust sound volume (up and down) from the steering wheel? I feel so stupid, but haven't read the manual yet.

Did they quote you on your extra warranty, or did you buy any of the extras?

No quote on the warranty, I said no to that yesterday, they weren't pushy on any of that stuff. Your radio controls are on the back of the wheel near the paddles. Right side is volume, left side changes the channels etc. The buttons in the middle of the rockers change modes.

And good deal on the lights, I was having a hell of time figuring that out. My '12 was driven up from another dealer, so I picked it up with like 180mi on it - no smells! I'm driving home smelling this thinking "what in the HELL is wrong with my brand spanking new car!"

I stopped off on the way home to get convex mirrors to put on the sideviews and to pick up new wiper blades. Without fail, the ones they put on are crap. I'm married to bosch icons.

Durh - On the audio control.. I kept hitting the single button on the backside of the steering wheel, I didn't realize it was a "rocker" back and forth on either side. Makes sense.

Just an update on the warranty, if you are interested - So far we have the online price of $2180 I think it was for Lifetime (Unlimited Mileage/Unlimited Years). I am asking for a group quote from the dealership on this for us.

Does anyone know if the warranty conveys to a new owner upon sale, or if the "Lifetime" dies when we sell the car?
