Back to you guys and great work with the 7%. Those that already picked them up from the dealer, hope you are all happy with them so far.
Indeed. Without the 7%, I would not have picked up a Limited. Absolutely happy with it!

That's what I thought too. But to say darn I'm only at 6% under invoice is still pretty awesome! Has anyone taken delivery for that set price?
(^you must have..) does it just show a lower selling price or a certain amount for the discount?
I'm guessing processing fee is the same as doc fees.

When I got the quote for mine it showed sticker, then the discounted price. I did up the math and it's correct.

Same here.. Are we the only 2 to actually take possession of the vehicles so far? I think everyone else ordered.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Ok I just got back from Koons a few minutes ago and I cant say my experience was as good as all of the rest of you. Does everyone realize that Koons is charging the $995 freight charge twice in their numbers??? Yes they are once in the invoice number prior to taking the 7% off and then AGAIN?!?!!!! in the final numbers with processing and taxes.

I thought that this was a simple mistake they would fix when they emailed me the paper work (which I have learned in the past is always good to ask for prior to going in). I called Nader he said it was not a mistake and this is how they are doing the deal. So I went in today thinking Tom Higgins would straiten this out, Nope that is how the deal is he said. Tom said that is how it was done for everyone who bought under this deal and everyone who will buy.

The out the door 4% numbers I received from Farrish for a single walkin off the street were not much higher then this 7% Koons group deal, why well because Farrish is charging freight once not twice.

Maybe I am the crazy one here and misunderstood and thought freight was only being charged once, well if that is the case stupid me I am an idiot.

For those that have bought, ordered or are thinking about it take the time to add up all of your own numbers for each option and you will find you were hit with freight twice under this 7% koons deal.

Needless to say I am heading back to Farrish and even if I end up paying the same price as a single walk in (which I already Know I am very close and they will probably match) at least I wont give Koons the satisfaction of my order because of this game playing they are doing with the numbers. Unbelievable

I'll have to look over my numbers again, but it looks like you may be right. I thought I looked over in detail but it looks like they wrapped the initial $995 into the MSRP of the vehicle, then charged another $995 on top of that. I don't have all my paperwork in front of me so I cannot verify.

However, if this is true - I'll give them a chance to correct it. Otherwise I will slam them in the customer satisfaction survey which Jeep/Chrysler already contacted me on - I have not contacted them back to provide my feedback.

*** Update - I have emailed Nader, Thomas and Phil (Manager) at the dealership to follow up with this on my purchase. I will reply with their feedback here. ***

Re: DC metro area group buy

This is not good news... If this is truly the case then that's some sneaky underhanded bullshit to pull.

oh I am right, unfortunately. I sat there and argued with them about it and then left. This is one of the few instances I would love for someone to come back and tell me I am wrong but I don't think that is going to happen. What good is 7% if it is being offset by a second $995???!!!
I am also considering contacting corporate this just seems to step over the unethical line with me a little bit. Yes I know I have not bought yet and don't have to buy from them but it just ticks me off because we may have been able to do better for the group somewhere else.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Why wouldn't they just tell you guys 5% under invoice and not throw in that BS charge? If something sounds to good to be true it probably is.. but even with that added charge you guys are still coming out better than 99% of the average buyer. Sadly if you guys raise hell with them or ChryFi the deal will probably be pulled and you'll be stuck paying a higher price elsewhere. I'd be pissed too but when you amke a deal with the devil something is bound to burn you. On a $50k Jeep you'd still be at $2000 under invoice which is still awesome. I guess it's how unethical what they've done that would piss me off.

Re: DC metro area group buy

It's true.. Just got off the phone with Tom. Bottom line is I am happy with what I paid all said and done. I stated as such to him, however I told him that it was confusing how they phrased the letter of intent for this sale.

It states that you pay Invoice -7% + Tax, Title/Registration/Tags, $499 Dealer Processing Fee and $995 Destination. I actually caught this before I purchased and mentioned it to Phil however I just thought I calculated my numbers incorrectly.

I just want everyone else purchasing to be informed, calculate it when considering the full price.

Happy with my 14' Jeep from Koon's though, and it's a confusion that they cleared up with me after speaking with Thomas. I would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from them. This is my second in the last 7 months.
