They could cut a check for the amount and then you could mail that in as a principal payment shortening the length of the loan. It's a clusterf regardless. How shady by these guys (and how odd that 2 people didn't notice an extra $1000 on the bill. These 2014s must be awesome.)

Good glad to hear they made this right. I will give Nader a call and get my order placed tomorrow, will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the update.

FYI - James Morris is the GM - he said he will honor the original deal - Something got mixed up and he apologized for the error. Anyone who already purchased will be cut a check to cover for the errors.

That's great to hear. Very glad they corrected the "error".

Do we need to go in, or will they mail the check? I don't care either way.

That said - folks, we still got a good deal no matter how you look at it, and Koons is making it right. I've bought from a few dealers around here and I'll be the first one to say that Koons made the whole process far easier and cleaner than the other dealers I've dealt with.

Go buy/order your Jeep, get all excited about it coming in, then when it does drool over the seats at how good the ride is and how much cool sh*t there is to play with. Then go get some mud on the tires

Since we are the only two to purchase so far he is going to cut us a check for the difference in the taxes since the purchase price changes, plus the $995.

He will call you tomorrow to follow up on it but I wanted to let you know as well so you were not worried about it.

For those of you that ordered, it will not be in your contract, so you are good.

If anyone has any questions James said that you can reach out to him and he can get you a final out the door price so it's all clear including tax, title, etc. The two $995 "destination" charges should not have been part of the deal. It will not be in anyone's deal going forward, and they are making us who already completed a transaction whole.

Nothing but good things to say about Koons, at this 7% below I don't think any other dealers can touch it.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Just went to the dealer today and put in my 'Order' for the Overland CRD. They didn't take a deposit since they technically can't order them yet. Was anyone else able to get actual out the door pricing for a CRD yet, or are well all waiting until they can actually be ordered.

I also went and sat in a Blue V6 Overland. The thing was sweet, I played with the Uconnect, digital dash and the Quadralift. Can't wait to have one sitting in my driveway.

I put in my CRD 'order' as well and didn't get any pricing. I also sat in that blue Overland. If it had the right interior and a Hemi I would have seriously considered taking that one and not waiting for the CRD.

Re: DC metro area group buy

I'm glad I didn't sit in any Overlands. My wallet couldn't take the pain of a higher OTD price!

I'm perfectly happy with my Limited. Then again, I said the same of the Laredo I traded in

Re: DC metro area group buy

Overland with no options.

2014 Overland 4x4, V6 // MSRP $45,995 ($43,736) + $995 destination

Is the destination fee applicable to the invoice price of $43,736? Or are you simply deducting 7% from $43,736 and that's out the door price before tax?

Re: DC metro area group buy

My understanding is ($43,736+$995)*.93 and then add $499 dealer fee for OTD before tax. But the guys that worked the deal can confirm this better...
