Re: DC metro area group buy

I just call it like it is , how is a dealer to busy to do a simple PO and email it? Telling me they have 3 people waiting to go to financing on a Monday at 1230 in the afternoon seems a bit strange. If they do so much volume then these guys should be used to working fast and efficient. It takes about 5 minutes to complete.

I'm not trying to be difficult, and I am allowing them more time to complete this since they are apparently slammed, but informing the community about my personal experience is exactly what I intend to do. Just because I just joined doesn't mean anything, I join forums and do my research before buying any car or truck, that's just what an experienced buyer does these days. You seem to think I have less credibility for some reason because you have a premium tag on your name?

The Trade-in value i'm not worried about anymore. like I said, I got low balled contrary to their claimed 125% about KBB offer that is posted on their website. I was able to sell it for exactly what I owe and I'm coming to this deal with no trade now.

I never used the word "scam", and i would appreciate you not twisting my words and putting your own spin on them.

With the amount you are saving, I would be a little more patient. We bought an Overland from Nader last week and the purchase and delivery couldn't have been smoother.

Re: DC metro area group buy

This does give me some reassurance, trust me guys I want everything to work out, I am giving them more time.

Just so I don't seem like negative Nancy here, here is the positive.

Nader has been professional and courteous. The test drive experience was positive, and I felt like it was time well spent. Their dealership is huge.

No one is putting words in your mouth. When you say "im about to find out if this deal is legit or not" is exactly the same as saying it might be a scam/fake/not genuine. YOU are the ONLY person in this thread that seems to be talking about the deal not being legit. I never said anything about premium tag on a name. Heck, you can join the first day and get that. Nothing to do with anything except that when you do donate to a level 3 or 4, you can then post your VON in a private thread and track your order.

You aren't even "calling it how it is" anyway. Again, there are people that took delivery. The deal is real. Christ, i have a VON number with all the breakdown on price and options to prove it. They don't have every salesman working on this deal from what i know. They have one or two handling it, who also does have other customers I'm sure buying cars. It's not like we are the only ones buying Jeeps from this dealership lol.

Patience patience patience. When you are post number #400+ in a thread and one of the only people thinking this deal is legit, that should give you all the info necessary to know if it's just a matter of no patience, or a matter of everyone else being wrong. Make some sense?

Maybe if patience is a problem, then just forget the deal, go local, and spend several thousand more on the same truck? I know yer anxious, but relax!
Indeed. Doofoo and I were the first here to take delivery (I think...), didn't place an order but bought ours straight off the delivery truck, and it still took a couple days to get everything squared away from start to delivery. You have one salesman working something like 30-40 purchases at this point, just from us, on top of his normal day to day stuff. It snowed last night and a few school systems were closed, which means a few people probably had to take the day off.

Simmer down, sit back, take a deep breath and hold your horses. He'll get you taken care of, just like they've taken care of everyone else that's bought from them in the last couple weeks.

Although to be honest, if you're going to bad mouth them for being busy on a ridiculously good deal compared to what the other group buys are getting (or in general, for that matter!), I'd almost rather you go buy from another dealer and save Koons the trouble...

Re: DC metro area group buy

I have a concern on the amount of time it is taking to get a PO, end of story. I was told by Nader that sales people have nothing to do with writing up the actual order and they have to wait for it from someone else, whom I am guessing is the sales manager/finance manager. This is a done deal and all it requires is a PO so I can cut a check.

You take my place, and tell me how long you would wait for a PO? I requested one at 11:04 am est and its now 2:03pm.

Yup. I worked directly with Tom at the time and still waited a couple hours between emails during the day. They're busy. Even when I was over there at 7pm at night, during the week, they had a fair number of people in the showroom.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Did you order one or are you buying one from the lot? For ordering, all you should need to put down is the deposit. If your waiting for the vehicle order sheet, it isn't going to tell you the amount you owe.
