Re: DC metro area group buy

This 655321 joker is the exact type of customer who will ruin a deal like this. The reason we are getting this kind of pricing is that we are supposed to be a sale to the dealer with minimal use of their resources (manpower). When too many people like this call the dealer every 5 minutes, the extra business becomes not worth it.
Remember the dealer is not making a huge amount of money off your sale, so you have to be patient while they try to sell vehicles to people who walk in off the street. Trust everyone on here when they tell you this is not a scam, if it were this would have been revealed much before you came through the doors guns blazing!

Re: DC metro area group buy

I got my car appraised at CarMax earlier. How does Koons do relative to CarMax appraisals? I expected CarMax to be low but if Koons beats it by a little it might be worth it to me to trade. I don't want to hound the dealer about it so I thought I'd ask here.

Honestly we shouldn't. It's people like you who sour the dealers enough to call off the deal for everyone. As a result of people like you I will probably have to drive to DC instead of to Wisconsin to get this deal.

I'm assuming you got everything sorted out in the same day. Instead of complaining you should be thanking those who put this deal together.

Yeah I guess its cool...for now. Just try to resist the urge to call the dealer every 5 minutes for a status update after you place the order. Understand that ordering a car is not like ordering something from Amazon.com, and that the delivery estimates are very fluid. If it takes a couple of months to get your car and the dealer doesn't call you every day to give you an update that does not automatically make it a scam.

If you are the kind of person that needs constant status updates, I would recommend becoming a paying member of this site so that you can access the tracking information Milous provides for paid members.

Hey BigWave - I was just wondering if you had the opportunity to send that information about the D.C. Group buy ? Understand you're probably busy but figured I would ask. Thanks again for everything.

Still can't PM.

Re: DC metro area group buy

I'm wondering if we should "screen" new members before giving out the info? Seriously, if this deal gets blown up because people can't be patient before I get to order my CRD, I'm going to be PISSED. I mean, the dealer expressly asked not to have the info posted publicly but if we give it out to anyone who asks, what's the difference? I don't know - just throwing it out there.

I think a good way of "screening" members would to only give the info to premium members. I'm not one yet, but I certainly will become one after I order. This will ensure three things, first that the person is serious, second it will give the person no reason to call the dealer for status updates, and third it will give this site some revenue to keep the lights on.
