As it stands, I won't be getting into a JGC Until towards years end when my lease is up. From what I've read about VA/DC dealership, they won't up sell you cwhich is something I'm looking forward to when I deal with them towards year's end. And IF I have to place a build order, I am more than happy to be a Premium Member because the folks around here have earned that for what I'll potentially save (less gas, tolls, 2x4hr drive to VA hehehe). So please folks, the dealership is KEEPING their end of the agreement-even going as far as extending the offer for as long MY14 is being built-we owe it to them to hold our end of the agreement(as well as those patiently waiting on the CRD (or stuck in a lease!)

You're a better man than me! I considered the diesel for a hot second...then the pricing came out and there was no way haha. I'd have never been able to wait.

Don't tell my wife, but I love my 14' JGC Limited I purchased here, I might even sell my 2013 Mustang GT and purchase another one once the Diesel's are out for myself.

Re: DC metro area group buy

I brought that up to my wife, as her car is up for replacement in the next year or so. She just gave me the squinty eyed look that says "Don't even dream about it". She doesn't want a vehicle that big anyway, too tall for her to get her boat up on top. I could see her looking at the new Cherokee, but I haven't decided whether I could look at that front end on a regular basis. Part of me thinks it's cool looking, the other part of me gags.

If it takes a couple of months to get your car and the dealer doesn't call you every day to give you an update that does not automatically make it a scam.

If you are the kind of person that needs constant status updates, I would recommend becoming a paying member of this site so that you can access the tracking information Milous provides for paid members.
No worries. I'm willing to bet a decent amount of money that user has no plans on actually being on the site in the first place. Seems like he just joined from another Jeep site so that he could get this deal, then probably will disappear again. Let's hope his asinine day was just singled out to one day yesterday and not going to be every day to the dealer.

He hasn't posted much on that other forum, here either. For a guy who says he likes to research his cars, he is sure late to the party on this one. He tried to get prices from others but doesn't seem like it is working, that place doesn't get much business other than users from this site.

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to make users who want in on the deal to become site supporters, atleast help out Scott/Milous in the process.

Big Wave, can you put me in contact with Nadar? Or can I just go to dealer and ask for him.

I will connect you with the folks we're working with -- will send email shortly. Yes, please do go into the dealership-- entirely up to you; recommend giving the rep a heads up so you meet face to face (they do take days off).
The Grand Cherokee deal is good as long as the factory is making the MY14s. The Wrangler deal is good as long as the factory is making the MY13s.

If you're so inclined, PM me the truck you're considering (details as in my signature).

Re: DC metro area group buy

The long-promised updated spreadsheet is here at last. This list includes all the people who I have referred to the dealer and there are some holes that need filling. I believe others have been referred as well -- if either of these applies to your truck and you care to provide me the details, PM me and I will update the sheet.

We're up to over 35 referrals. Some I know have ordered. Some are awaiting the CRD's arrival, while others are determining the best route on a trade-in or lease options. Whatever your particular story, thank you all again for joining in the group buy.

Some recent discussion on our thread revolved around trying to ensure the dealer remains committed to the agreement this group arranged -- doing so in part by trying to ensure our members do not needlessly pester them. I do not know where to draw the line. Someone's experience and style dictate they touch base more often than another person's. What I do think helps is the continued attention and communication from those of us who believe patience is paramount, but when action is necessary we pursue it. Take for instance gwnewman1's and doofoo's purchases during which they figured out there was a double billing of the destination charge. I was certainly irritated by the development, and don't think I was alone in that -- in fact, my original email asked for clarification on the topic, but didn't get it. Thanks to quick action taken by our first two buyers, however, they got the GM to right the ship and remove the second destination charge.

That situation certainly wasn't ideal, but we worked it out. Hopefully nothing else happens, but if it does I encourage us to work together in a similar spirit to resolve the issue. And when it comes to noobies, our collective response urging patience won the day. Keep up the good work. And most importantly, let's enjoy our trucks...when we finally get them.
