Re: DC metro area group buy

Thanks BigWave for staying on top of this. Not that it matters much, but I'm probably going to go with ORAI and towing and RA4. still unsure on granite/max steel/billet too. I figure I got time. :\

Re: DC metro area group buy

I spoke with Nader this afternoon and they are also allowing leases with this deal. One thing he did mention was that they would require $2,000 due at signing. He is working on providing me some numbers for my personal situation and I hope to have them no later than Thursday.

This is my first time leasing a vehicle. I am somewhat familiar with money factors and residuals and I'm clear on what they should be for the Limited @ 10k miles/yr, but is there anything else I should be on the lookout for? I am able to write off the lease payment with my business, so is there anything I should do to structure it to best set myself up from a tax standpoint?

Thanks again to BigWave and anyone else involved in negotiations. The power of the internet is an amazing thing

It'll be a bit of time, but you'll be getting a great truck. You should still be getting it before other manufacturers' MY14s hit the lots.

Very pleased you put this group buy together, BigWave, and Koons is showing themselves to be a stand up dealer that can be counted on for an agreement. I'm on the list for a Limited CRD...just waiting for the Order Banks to open for the diesel. Please, Jeep, don't push back the CRD production date again!

The Chicago dealer (20 miles from me) has withdrawn his offer today for 4% below invoice for CRD orders, at least for now. Since I fly into DCA about once a month for business, I'm happy to save thousands by participating in the 7% DC group buy.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Hi guys, I am very interested in buying a GC also and after reading all the posts in this thread I was wondering if I was missing something? The reason I ask is because if you go to Koons website the prices they have are cheaper then the deal you guys made in a group buy. I was interested in a particular vehicle, I asked what invoice was and did the math. The advertised price on the site beat it buy around $800. Is the group buy based on a special order? This vehicle was one that was in stock. Just curious, not out to make trouble. Thanks!

Re: DC metro area group buy

When you mean "stock" are you saying a base laredo or a stock Limited/Overland/Summit.

Edit: When you do a search for vehicles, there is the MSRP price and the WOW Price.

UPDATE: I just priced out one of the Overland Models and sure enough it is almost exactly 7% under invoice...

Advertised price on the website is msrp. Check page 1 of ordering thread for invoice pricing, then back out the 7%.

The WOW price excludes the $995 freight for one thing -- check the fine print.

For example, the vehicle we purchased had an MSRP of $50880 and was discounted to us $44,820. The internet WOW price is $45,012 but excludes $995 destination which is included in the GP. Bottom line, we saved $1187 over the WOW price.
