Re: DC metro area group buy

I'll check into it further. I know the MSRP is given and then the WOW price, I specifically asked about the " invoice" and the Wow deal was better! Are you saying they back the $995 freight out of the WOW price that's on the window sticker? So whatever the WOW price is, I have to add that back in? Just making sure..... Thx guys.

Re: DC metro area group buy

* We make every effort to provide accurate information, but please verify options and price before purchasing. All vehicles are subject to prior sale. All prices are special internet prices only. All financing is subject to approved credit. All new vehicle prices exclude freight. Tax, tags, and processing fee of $499 additional. WOW prices include all applicable rebates and incentives. Some included rebates may require financing through the manufacturer and are therefore subject to credit approval. Additional rebates and incentives, such as Military or College Graduate programs, may apply to those who qualify. WOW pricing may not be compatible with special factory financing. WOW prices are valid based on manufacturer incentive program time periods, which vary by make. See dealer for details.

The fine print:

Thumbs up Re: DC metro area group buy

Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. I'm usually the type of guy to read fine print but the salesmen told me that's the price. He said I could qualify for more if military and some other one which I don't recall..... But thank you.

Re: DC metro area group buy

So you would need to add on the $995 fee...Then most likely take off any of the discounts out there that you don't qualify for..So much for that WOW price..lol

Just to stupidly clarify my tired brain:

Freight charge = destination charge (I have never really seen destination charge referred to as freight charge that's why)

I got hit with that when I bought my '12. Lustine had one discounted pretty hardcore, then you talk to them and find out that the discounted price includes rebates that you don't qualify for. Price of the car shoots right back up, then you add freight back in.

This is why I prefer to deal on the OTD price. Gives me a better view. When I bought mine from Koons, their invoice price included freight, so I got the 7% off that too.

For the record, they did indeed make everything square with myself and doofoo regarding the extra freight charge. No fuss and no muss.

Did you have the vehicle shipped to a different dealership than it was purchased from? If so, what was the additional charge for that?

They goofed when they did up the final numbers, nothing more. I bought my '14 off of one of their incoming deliveries and picked it up right there, not another dealer. Freight had been included in our invoice price, but then was also included on the final sales sheet along with tax, tags, title and the processing fee. They cut us a check for the freight charge + tax. I didn't even have to go in to get the check, they mailed it. Small, I know, but appreciated. While Koons is close to work, stopping messes up my commute home because it's out of the way. If this is how they normally handle customers, I'll gladly buy another car from them when the wife finally decides what she wants. Their F&I department was ridiculously easy to work with compared to some other dealers I've been through too.

That's also why some folks got a little heated earlier. We have, what I think is anyway, a good relationship with Koons. We get a killer deal and a good dealer to work with, they make the money back on volume and our trades. I know they're not losing money in this deal, but they're definitely not making as much as they could on these trucks from a guy that walks in off the street. I'd hate for one or two people to screw that up.

These guys work for the dealer and are just baiting you guys to call them up, more sheep to the wolf. You don't have to believe me if you don't want, no dealership sells a car and looses money on it. They will get you on the trade, when I asked for a purchase order it was never provided , I bought a 2014 the next day from a local dealer for a fair price , don't waste you time on this thread it's just a wild goose chase. Funny when I posted something negative on here , Nader was calling me up right after. Typical bait and switch.

Hmmm...we have 45 pages of people that have orders in and at least two of us, myself included, that have already taken delivery on their cars and have posted pictures of them on this same thread, and then you who didn't get your way after bugging the dealer and being impatient. Methinks you pissed off the dealer or tried to negotiate a lower price and didn't get your way. Could be wrong, of course.
