My point about being sure to check your numbers is...make sure when you go over the paperwork that you are ACTUALLY getting the 7% off deal that they are promising you. I was promised a great deal by Koons and they never intended to deliver on it.
The reason I'm so sour is because other people already soured another deal but don't worry I'll make sure to go over my numbers. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes you got an excellent deal, and if your happy with it we're all happy for you....... But you haven't explained the extra NYS sales tax you agreed to pay. Why?

You're 100% right. I did the calculations and im being overcharged 117 dollars. Sales tax should be 3801.51 and i'm being charged 3919.50

I'll bring it up to my sales associate, but he's also picking me up from the airport when my car is delivered so i might just meet him halfway on that price since he's been so good about the whole process. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for bringing all this to the forefront. You are a true pioneer in this matter. Now that we got this out of the way.

What are you even doing in this thread if not to troll? You don't own a 14, you aren't looking to buy a 14 from any of yours posts, and you don't seem to have any experience with this dealership. Why not just post in the threads that actually concern you? Just a suggestion since you seem to be so caught up in my purchase for some odd reason over a few bucks.

Invasion57 is on a distinguished road
I had a similar question regarding taxes when I bought my jeep. I was told that taxes are factored on the price of the vehicle and the processing fee. Apparently there is also a small local tax imposed by Fairfax county (don't remember exact percentage) that came out to approximately $40ish bucks. After they explained it, it all added up accurately. I'm pretty sure that it is illegal to overcharge taxes and keep it for profit.

Bear in mind too that if you are getting some sort of factory rebate, the rebate is also taxed.

I don't know why this raptor guy is so worried about your sales tax. I think it is an honest mistake where the dealer accidentally put in the sales tax as 8.875% which is the rate in the city. I am sure if you point out the sales tax in you jurisdiction they will adjust the tax. It is somewhat silly that all the trolls seem intent on bashing this deal...if you want in contact the appropriate person, if you don't then leave!!

Troll??

You posted your purchase order on a public internet forum and I pointed out the numbers didn't add up. Nothing more! I pointed out something you obviously missed & your upset with me and call me a troll. How does that work. How do you know what I may or may not be looking to buy, now or in the near future?

Why so sensative? I would think you would be happy I caught Koons mistake, if it was a mistake. I think you and everyone else who bought @ this dealer are getting the best deal out there & I have turned on everyone I know looking to purchase a new Grand Cherokee to this thread!

I thought I was saving you a "few bucks" on something you missed and you seem annoyed? WTF?????
