I'm not bashing this deal or the dealer, as I have had no personal experience with them. WTF is the matter with you guys. I pointed out an obvious sales tax mistake. Funny though the sales tax mistake is a common one commited by dealers to looking pad their profit. I've personally had this mistake made by dealers several times before! I wonder how many people in their excitement to get a new car miss it?

Re: DC metro area group buy

Gentlemen. Even though this is a group buy and it seems to be with a certain dealer, other members have the right to chime in with their past/present encounters with the dealer. Spyder has asked before that personal attacks stop but it seems they are continuing. I don't think the intention of this thread was to get to calling users out but to help users find a great deal. This is all taking away on what BigWave has done for those that have ordered or that have received their vehicles from this dealer. People will have their opinions not matter what others think, but to slander someone else to prove your point is senseless. Wouldn't you want someone who isn't even buying from this dealer to help catch a mistake or something not right before you sign on the dotted line?

If this stuff continues my guess will be Spyder/Mod/Admin will move this thread to the flammables or lock the thread. So I ask that this nonsense stop immediately. If you have/had an issue with the dealer, make your statement and move on. No need for others to doubt what the person went through. Dealers treat people differently, we all know that. It sucks but does happen, every dealer does it to someone sometime.

Just my thought, delete it if you want but this Sh*t needs to stop.

Well said , Over the past 3 days alone we have had atleast 5 reports on this thread .

and on a personal note , I would love to have someone catch a mistake ( or other ) on a order that I had placed. That mistake could save Hundreds , If not Thousands of Dollars .

Re: DC metro area group buy

Thanks Sno.

Since the GroupBuy is meant to last for as long as the MY14 is being manufactured, I'd like to keep this GroupBuy going (since I intend to partake of it some time before December). That being said, the negative comments regarding Koons have somehow reached Nader as it was one of the first things he brought up to me when I spoke to him over the phone regarding this GB that he sounded annoyed by it.

Regardless, let's not take away the good that has taken from those who picked up their trucks from Koons. As many have said, it is also up to us as the consumer to practice due diligence and make sure everything adds up. Thank you to those who pointed out their negative experience/s with Koons and to those interested in dealing with them through this GroupBuy are thankful and will take note of your experience.

That being said, I'd like to hear any updates from those who have taken delivery from Koons recently and no more of the bickering. Too bad no one up here in NJ is willing to start a GroupBuy...I for one don't even know where to start so this is the best I've got!

ETA: I'd hate for the bickering on the thread to cause the GroupBuy agreement to be terminated.

Re: DC metro area group buy

We all have different experiences with dealers , I may say one is great but you went there and was treated poorly ... It happens
Both should be allowed to state what has happened to them . I am sorry but If the dealers all played honest then , There wouldnt be as many of these stories.

Here are the facts. No matter what happens , There will always be someone unhappy . weathers its with the deal, with the service , or just that the sales person wore blue that day and that person has just as much of a right to explain their side on this board as those that are getting the deal , Without being called a jerk or a shrill or a troll or anything else .

This needs to stop

Re: DC metro area group buy

Agreed. I just received another refund check from Koons actually, for the difference between the estimated payoff on my sales sheet and the actual payoff of the loan on my trade. If they were *that* shady, they would have just kept it. All dealers are out to make money, any way they can. The overhead they carry has to be a b*tch when you come down to it, especially in the Vienna/Tysons area. Be it making money off the trade, which is the easiest in the grand scheme of things, to handling higher profit deals before ours, it's going to happen. I'd be very much surprised if they took my deal where they might have only made a couple hundred bucks profit outright over a deal where someone is paying sticker for their Jeep. That's an extra couple thousand right there, or more.

Like I've said before, I'd hate for Koons to decide the bad press from a couple users isn't worth what they're making off this buy and cancel it. The majority of us have had little to no problem with the process, and the problems that did crop up were resolved quickly and professionally. From a car dealer, I can ask for no more than that.

Why so sensative? I would think you would be happy I caught Koons mistake, if it was a mistake. I think you and everyone else who bought @ this dealer are getting the best deal out there & I have turned on everyone I know looking to purchase a new Grand Cherokee to this thread!

I thought I was saving you a "few bucks" on something you missed and you seem annoyed? WTF?????
No, u twice asked me and asked why i didnt explain it. If your intention was to try and save me u could have easily pm'm me after the first time. Money from something that was an obvious mistake where i was charged nyc tax rate, instead of my county. Its also trolling when u keep insinuating it might not have been an honest mistake when u have no actual dealing with the dealer or the actual deal. Something that is impossible to not fix as when the car is taxed, it uses my zipcode from my address.

Now, its been explained, so enough. Youre not being helpful. In act, i personally think you are being annoying. If u had any actual dealing with this dealer, youd have some substance to what youre saying. Since you dont, its just getting to the point where u really arent adding anything with insinuations. Now, maybe leave the thread? Fair? Enjoy.

Heck, when i called late into the deal, the sales associate even brought up himself about the first few people getting charged twice in the process and assured me it was corrected

Same here -- both the sales and finance guy brought it up to make sure I knew they were not double charging the freight fee. 100% professional 100% happy.

Let's keep this relationship intact for the benefit of every member.
