Thanks for the aknowledgement, BigWave. It's obvious that the landscape has changed more than I thought from the last time I helped roll one over the curb.

Unfortunately, I'm in a June/July time frame since I'm relying on a work related bonus to materialize before pulling the trigger. Plus, I'm still undecided between a Limited w/LuxII or Overland and I'd like to get an upclose look once they start hitting the lots to help with that decision.

Good luck, everyone. I'll keep monitoring this thread to see how it turns out. Hopefully, you'll all be pleased with the results.

Re: DC metro area group buy

After reading this thread, I'd also be interested in participating in a group buy in the DC area. I'm hoping to purchase a fully loaded Limited CRD with no trade in and would like to place an order as soon as the order books open if possible. Could you let me know who to share my contact information with?. -Thanks Mark

Welcome to Jeep Garage, Mark.
At the moment, I'm putting together a spread sheet of DC-area serious buyers and their truck/options, and using that to contact several local dealers to gauge if we can get a deal worked out.
Shoot me a PM with what you're looking to order. By loaded to you mean to include the tech package, off road I or II, etc?

I'm potentially interested but trying to get a group closer to home together first. I will be ordering a Black Summit 4x4 CRD.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Since I'm a new member with only a few posts, the site appears to prevent me from sending any PMs. The message indicates that I need to be a "Trusted Member" first. Any suggestions on how I can solve this? - Mark

Hey I'm not sure if you saw the deal that silvermax was able to work out but he's arranged 5% below invoice for 5+ buyers and 6% below for 10+ buyers. I highly doubt that we'll beat that so we might as well move forward with his contact at Farrish. Sounds like you'd like to organize this so I'll gladly pass this along to you and forward the dealer information to you. BTW, how many are on your spreadsheet right now?

Re: DC metro area group buy

Hello all. Attached is the info I was able to compile from what you folks provided. If I missed something let me know and I'll plug it in. Some of you are more distant buyers, are you confirmed for this group? I know part of it depends on price, but if all are serious, we have 12 looking to order which equates to 6% below invoice + $399 dealer charge.

As I am typing, I got a call from Miguel (sales manager) at Farrish Jeep in Fairfax who confirmed what SilverMax indicated. I have emailed a few other dealers and thus far Fairfax is the only one to get back to me. I think we can hold out for a couple of days to see if we can do better, but if you all agree, I would be willing to move forward with the Farrish deal now.

Let me know.

Good to know. Any idea when Farrish will have any inventory?

Also, I didn't see anything attached to your last post.

Would this be invoice - 6% + $399 dealer and + $995 Destination?

New computer = no way to convert to pdf, so had to pull out my wife's computer. File should now be attached.

Yes, JC_0105, 6% below + $399 + $995 destination. But this is 6% so long as we get 10+ orders through the dealer, otherwise it's 5% with 5 to 9 orders. Would like to get confirmation from the group that you are in for sure. Talking to Miguel, he said something simple by way of commitment would work, maybe something like a signed copy of a letter we each would provide him.
