Caution for those future buyers, read every piece of your invoice. There are a few things on there that were easily negotiated off the price.
How could you get the overland with tech for 39909? The invoice is 43736+1509+995=46240, which would imply you got nearly 14% off invoice, including the $500 jeep certificate... Not making sense unless you had a trade.

Re: DC metro area group buy

We are looking for a 2014 Overland as our 2001 GC is not as reliable as it once was. As a newbie could someone pass along info on DC group buy and the $500 coupon that folks have referred to. We are in Lynchburg but willing to buy in DC for a better price.

Robert. Email. Leaper4me@aol.com

Thanks

Go to jeep.com scroll to the bottom and click the link that says sign up for updates and fill out the short form and indicate that you're looking to buy within one month then just click and send it. Then do that at least 10 times a day like the rest of us did and hope you wind up on their list. I wound up getting 2 of them probably because of the amount of times I filled out that form..good luck!!!

No trade in, however I should point out I am the first owner and it had just under 550 miles on it. Black on Black.

I believe taking your time and making sure you are getting the best deal within a 150 mile radius (or cost effective deal) is important. Edmunds has a great write up. I should also point out that I went through jeep financing to get the deal which is 2 points higher than my credit union. After 6 months I'll refinance under my credit union with no penalty. Based on my calculation my net realized discount is closer to 6% below invoice if I financed for the entire 5 years through jeep. Switching over to my credit union after 6 months, at a lower interest rate (excellent credit BTW) and for only 4 years, my net realized discount is closer to 10.7% below invoice.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Thanks for the information. Given that the increase of 1 percent in VA sales tax effective 7/1/2013 will add about $500 to the titling tax on then car I might as well buy before July 1 as opposed to waiting for the coupon. Especially since their web site shows the car I want is in inventory.

One more question. Do I call Koons, ask for Nader, tell him I am interested in buying using the Jeep Garage group buy pricing, confirm actual costs and buy or is there something else I need to do?

Finally, I want to thank those that arranged the group buy program .

Robert

Re: DC metro area group buy

This group has been great. I have a bit of an issue.

I have a jeep on order from a dealer in PA. It is in D1 and should be made any time. I want utilize the DC group buy. When I spoke with the DC dealership they said I would have to place a new order with them (means waiting 6 weeks) and cancel the order with the dealer in PA. Does anyone have an alternative to this? I would just like to have the Jeep about to be made transferred to the DC dealer (assuming I can get the PA dealer to agree to it). Does anyone know if this is possible? or how to get it done? or ???
Again, this group has been great and any insight, advice is greatly appreciated!
