Re: DC metro area group buy

Nader just called me. He is submitting my order now. He said because of the group buy there is some other stuff his manager has to do to complete the process, so I would not receive my VON until Monday or Tuesday, with email from Chrysler.

I'm working with Nader on a Wrangler Unlimited for the wife. With the CRD orders now open, I'll understand if it takes him a bit to respond to me! Happy for all those who have been waiting so patiently! I may still end up with one myself!

It was the BEST car buying experience I've ever had. Nader was very prompt, forthcoming and honest with pricing, returning my calls and setting me up with my new Jeep. The whole process was flawless and took less than 2 hours. Their finance department even got me a better interest rate than my bank. I would recommend him to anyone!

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Group buy and setting it up!
Yeah, it was almost disturbing how easy F&I was at Koons. I finished signing my paperwork and he's like, oh...you're done! To which I could not help but answer "Really? I feel as if I should still be signing papers". F&I at the dealer I bought my 2012 from was a nightmare. Koons makes it entirely too easy to spend a boatload of money haha. They beat my CU's rate too, which was nice. All in all, definitely a happy experience. I picked mine up way back when during the first days of the group buy though, before Nader took over. I worked with Tom H. and Joe, both were excellent.

Seriously, I sent Tom H. a quick note the other day expressing how pleased everyone has been with you guys. Nader has been great and all the folks who have already picked up their Jeeps have reported back excellent service and professionalism.

Even more seriously... where's my VON? Okay, okay... just kidding... maybe... kinda... Say... where's my VON now?

I got my VON, I got my VON! Woo Hoo!

Congrats to you, Chivv, and everybody else who was able to finally order the CRD. Fingers crossed none of your trucks get/need the double secret inspection a la JeeperJohn.

Hey BigWave I've sent you a PM to get DC Buyers Group Info.
thank you for this effort as it seems to be helping us and them. As I read Koons want to be number 1 in Jeep sales and high volume will get them there.
for us if they do.
thanks,

We picked up our 2014 Overland from Koons this past Thursday. It was ordered on June 30, so about a five week delivery, this was less than we thought it would be.. We took Amtrak to Washington and from Union Station took the Metro to the Dunn Loring Metro station where Nader picked us up. The train ride itself was a fun experience. Having breakfast in the dining car as we rolled through the northern Virginia countryside was delightful.

What a great car buying experience. Nader ( who by the way came in on his day off to deliver our car) called just as we got off the train to give us directions as to which metro line and station to use then called again to just before we arrived at Dunn Loring station to tell us he would be out front. As we walked out of the station Nader was pulling up-perfect timing.

When we got to the dealership our Overland was sitting out front, spotless and full of gas. Nader asked us to look it over carefully to make sure we were happy before going in to do the paperwork. I did so and found none of the issues that have been previously reported. Fit and finish were just about perfect to my eye.
The best description I can think of regarding the paperwork process is "No Drama". All the paperwork reflected exactly what we agreed upon. We signed the paperwork, handed over a check, Nader installed our license plates, we shook hands and left. Nader was heading home to spend the rest of his day off with his son. For the life of me I can not understand why all dealers don't operate like this.

With about 300 miles on our new Jeep so far everything is performing flawlessly. The Uconnect works fine, the transmission shifts are as smooth as silk and the V6 has all the power that we need. As long as this continues we will indeed be happy Jeep owners.

Thanks again to everyone that facilitated the group buy program.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Has anyone that ordered through Koons had an extra .17% included in their sales tax? Every calculation added up correctly. Doc fee and lic / reg was not included in sales tax. My states sales tax is a flat 6%, but was charged 6.17%. I called and asked Nador why the difference, he stated there is an extra .17% county fee which is added into every sales order. Never heard of this. I'm assuming its his county fee as I know for a fact my county has no such thing.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Was this ever settled? Is it invoice + $995 destinaion, or is the $995 destination included in the invoice price? It was going back and fouth for several pages,I read about sixty pages on the DC buy can't read anymore. I reached out to Koons today for some info. Waiting to hear back from them.

Should be $995 included in the invoice but not added back on a second time in the total. Adding it on a second time was the earlier dispute which Koons corrected.
