Re: DC metro area group buy

So whats the deal with a lease? Will the GB pricing not work if we decide we want to lease vs buy?

Re: DC metro area group buy

I cannot see how a Lease would affect this deal. All auto purchases or leases are driven from bottom line price...perhaps there is more "fee" tacked on to the $499...but cannot fathom how by saying "I would rather lease" it turns the deal upside down....

I am in the same boat...planning to lease and have reached out to Nader for a price. I will report back once I hear something from him.

Re: DC metro area group buy

I am working with Koon's GM right now on a lease and he did say it is different. Rebates, incentives etc. affect the deal when lease vs buy. So I quess they get better rebates for a sale vs lease I don't know I thought it didn't mater.He said is works out to be about 6% below.

Re: DC metro area group buy

I was just at another DC area dealer today and I was told the current rebates were better on a lease than a purchase. He could have been wrong, but he offered that info I didn't ask for it...

Re: DC metro area group buy

I have been quoted on a 36 month lease, 12k miles, with my trade as down payment ($5000 value), $346 a month. Of course i dont want ot put any cash down so having the price it up assuming no money down and just a check to me on the trade in. Residual was 52% roughly, MF was .00012 i believe. Anyone else have numbers to compare?

Re: DC metro area group buy

Well I am still holding out hope I can get this deal done but Nader is not impressing me any with his customer follow-up or now telling me that 20" wheels can only be acquired through purchasing LUXII pkg....

FYI - 20" wheels is code WRD - cost $1064. Every single dealer I have worked with has allowed those wheels as a line item option including building the truck on the jeep.com website....and yet he is holding firm I can only get those wheels if I buy LUXII. I am hoping its just a Monday "brain fart" and he comes around tomorrow with different news. I did text him my build sheet from anther dealer with the 20" wheels code...Here's to keeping the faith....

You can also get the deal through Thomas Higgins (Sales Manager) if you are unhappy with Nader. I dealt with Thomas when ordering and he got everything done quickly and easily. I dealt with Nader when taking delivery and he was great as well.

Talking Re: DC metro area group buy

I just placed a order today with Nader for a Summit V8 and was giving a VON right away. His number lined up almost exactly with what i sent to him plus 30 bucks. I went to a couple of other DC/MD dealers and no one would even go within 2K of this deal. Some Dealers laughed it off like i was joking and told me that as soon as I tried to buy the vehicles the numbers would change but I guess my wallet got the last laugh. Thank You BigWave and everyone who helped set up this great deal, this was to good to pass up. Coming From a 2011 Overland V8, I can really appreciate all of the changes.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Nearly 1000 posts -- not too shabby. We've had a lot of success. To those folks who are new to the GB, welcome. Take a look through the posts and you'll see we've experienced some growing pains which we worked through. Since our first successes, the JGC has become a very popular vehicle, and the dealership we're working with is one, if not the, highest volume dealers in the area. Please keep this in mind when working with them -- it could take some time for them to get back to you.

I offer up a few suggestions based off of my experience from the beginning:

1) please PM me your email address if you'd like to be connected with those we're working with. Other GBs faltered b/c the dealers they were working with got bombarded with inquiries and they weren't equipped to deal with it. In addition, we were asked to go only through a single rep who has been phenomenal to work with -- he's even come in on his days off to pick people up from the airport and train station. I certainly didn't expect that commitment;
2) remain patient, remember this isn't like an online purchase from Amazon -- there will be paperwork which the dealership has to prepare and they have to devote time to each purchase;
3) if the deal is something you're comfortable with, great, we think you'll like the end result. If you're not comfortable with it, thank you for your interest and good luck with your purchase.
