Yes, that is correct.

Or until Nader decides he wants one day off. Unbelievable service from him and this group buy. I will be picking up my GC next week and will write more on this great process, but I'm sure I'll be buying my '16 Wrangler and '18 Grand Wagoneer from him too.

Okay, I think I've come up with my preferred vehicle build..... A 4-wheel-drive Bright White Summit EcoDiesel with Grand Canyon Brown interior and engine block heater. That's it! Not too many more options available, none worthwhile. A special thanks to BigWave and Chivvalry for their help in hooking me up with Nader. Sent him an e-mail with questions I had and mentioned how excited I was after reading all of your very positive testimonials of the Koons buying experience. Waiting to hear back. Hoping to be able to strike a deal soon.

Warning, he's kinda slow with email. Much better to call him...

Re: DC metro area group buy

Good to know, thanks, Chivvalry. Had sent my e-mail jointly to Nader and Thomas Higgins. Received a reply from both, I think, within an hour or so. Unfortunately, I ran out of day and week before I could get my deal done. Just bad timing on my part, only getting started with this on the last Friday of the month leading into a holiday weekend. Expectations adjusted. Will just need to be patient and pick this up on the other side.

Re: DC metro area group buy

First of all, thanks to BigWave and Chivvalry for all the work on setting up the GB. My dad had a Jeep when I was little and I've wanted one ever since. Been more so lurking on the forum since I didn't have one until this point, but excited to be a part of it going forward!

I placed an order with Tom Ames and it couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. He was very courteous, quick to respond, and best of all, no pressure. He made sure to double and triple check my order to make sure it was exactly what I was looking for, but in no way tried to pressure me into adding anything I didn't want. Top it off with the fact that the entire process was done via phone and email, and I'm a very happy camper. Now just to play the waiting game while it gets built!

I just joined this board and I am very interested in the successful group buy program that has been together. I am five hours away from the dealer but if I can save a nice amount I think it would be worth the road trip. What is the best way to figure what options I want, just use the regular jeep website? I don't need delivery till December and still not exactly sure what I options I want. When should I place my order? If someone could PM the info to be part of this program I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for the help

Bigwave set up the group buy... I had nothing to do with it. All kudos to him!

PM sent...

Check out these two threads for more information than you can probably digest... start at the beginning and happy reading! Seriously... at LEAST read the first few posts in each thread. The information from Milous in there is priceless. I would give yourself around 8 weeks from order to delivery. Might happen sooner... might be slower.

Chivvalry is being modest -- been a big help in sustaining the group (...and whining about the delays he's faced in ordering his CRD )

Re: DC metro area group buy

Hey all, please count me in as a late comer, just registered this afternoon. Started with the Milous thread about ordering and pricing (link a couple posts above), and knew this was the forum for me. Milous lists "Pacific Blue" as a color option on some model of GC, seemed like a good handle for a fictional identity, LOL.

I read enough through the day to get the gist of it all (I think), the Koon's people are named just upthread. Is there anything else I need to know or should I just call the Koon's people and start talking. A PM from Chiv, maybe?

Gratzi, PB
