I maintain that I have a good reason to whine! I've been waiting almost a full gestation period at this point...

Given that there have been no replies, I'm guessing that no deals were worked out as part of the GB for an extended warranty...

Sorry but that appears to be correct. I know there were some discussions somewhere on other threads about extended warranties but don't have any links handy.

They do apparently have some deal put together. I do not know how it stands up to others - check the prices offered on sites like http://www.chrysler-warranty-online.com/ (i believe this site is discussed on various JG threads along w other options). Basic suggestion I have is to research the options and go with what you're comfortable.

Do you mind me asking about what you paid for a lifetime max warranty? I'm considering getting it myself!

Re: DC metro area group buy

UPDATE ON WORKING WITH THE DEALERSHIP

I recently had the opportunity to visit the dealership with a buddy who's looking to purchase a vehicle -- hadn't made up his mind but was interested in Jeep, among others. I reached out to Nader and, as always, he was very accommodating and agreed to meet with us earlier this week. During our chat to set up an appointment, Nader politely reiterated his understanding of the relationship he has with our GB -- specifically that we work through him and his manager. When my buddy and I hit the dealership to do a couple test drives, I found the opportunity to speak with Nader's manager and reaffirm what his expectations were with respect to our interactions with his dealership. He confirmed that they would like us to deal directly and solely with Nader and him.

As many of you know, another individual from the dealership, Mr. Ames, signed on and chatted with a few of us on this thread and the JG forum. Mr. Ames, we appreciate your help and hope you'll continue to interact with us, but we will abide by the original agreement established by the dealership, and reinforced by both Nader and his manager.

Moving forward, no matter whether you're a long time JG participant or lurker, or a newbie, if you're interested in participating in this GB, please PM me your email address and I will connect you with the folks we're working with. If you have any questions, take a read through the thread. If you still have questions after that, feel free to ask away. (NOTE: your first question should be "Chivvalry, have you ever considered one of these?"

Thanks to everybody who helped pull this GB together and kept it running smoothly.

I paid $2100 for the maximum care lifetime warranty with $100 deductible. That was not any type of a group buy number but just what I worked out with them based on beating the online numbers I had found at the time. If you get plus or minus $100 dollars on that you are probably doing fine.

Spent a lot of time in Minuteman missile silos in Missouri. Electromechanical team (EMT) spark chasers... Back in the late eighties.

Crickets...this is the longest we've gone w/o some interest expressed. I thought CRD release woulda brought more folks to the flock.

I'm looking to try to get in on this GB. I'm hoping to get my hands on an eco diesel. Been waiting a long time now. I also just sold my 2011 camaro ss just so I can afford one. Because I just sold it though, should I wait until it reflects on my credit report before I try to go to DC and finance one through my credit union?
