I have no info re credit report question, but you may want to take a look at Pentagon Federal Credit Union and other lenders in addition to your CU for other rates. Whatever you qualify for, bring it to the dealer, they seem to be working with a number of local banks and are beating the rates buyers are bringing in. Now, I'm sure they are getting a fee or some such for using the local guys, but if you get a good deal, then it works out for both sides.

Yeah I guess I'll have to try that. I'm in the marines so I'm using navy federal credit union. They are usually pretty good when it comes to finding great rates. I'll just have to see if the dealer can help me beat em. Does anyone know if they are hooking service members up with military discounts as well?

If you have a really good FICO score, you can see if you qualify for Chrysler financing and compare that rate to what the bank gives you.

If selling the camaro paid off a loan it will definitely take some time for it to show up with the credit reporting agencies. But the lender for the new loan will be OK if you fax or email the paperwork showing the old loan was paid off. You have to talk to them, of course, to coordinate.

Financial institutions usually report your payment status to the credit agencies on a monthly basis.

Re: DC metro area group buy

I see that Jeep is currently offering up to a $500 cash allowance on 2014 Grand Cherokees. Such offerings are from the factory to the customer. In return for our group buy discounted price, we haven't surrendered our right to claim a cash allowance if one is available, have we?

Good question! I'd like to hear the answer to that!

Those sort of coupons... and the military discounts available... are still available with this deal from what I understand. It is direct "cash" so the dealer doesn't care.

Yes they will work. I got an extra $1500 off my lease at Koons. I had a $1000 lease incentive and $500 factory rebate from Chrysler. This is money the dealer gets back from Chrysler so their bottom line is not affected by rebates.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Thank you Chivvalry, jeepinAl and plynn7 for confirming that factory cash allowance offers can be used in conjunction with this Jeep Garage group buy deal.

It was FIVE WEEKS ago today that Jeep opened order banks for the 2014 Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel. How are you EcoDiesel early adopters who placed your orders on day one holding up? Are your days passing any more quickly?

I have yet to place my order, but I am very close in doing so. It will definitely not be today. I am way too suspicious when it comes to Friday the 13th, so I have at least one more day to change my mind and to change it back again. A 4WD Summit EcoDiesel or a 4WD Overland with Advanced Technology Group and Quadra-Drive II? Bright White or Cashmere? Torturous, just torturous!
