Re: DC metro area group buy

I just discovered this thread while looking to replace my 2002 Overland.

I read through a few pages, not sure exactly what the process is to get in on the buy.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction?

Re: DC metro area group buy

Ordered the new jeep earlier this week at Koons. It couldn't have gone better. I ended up working with Tom Ames (reached out to nadar and didn't receive a response, was pressed for time). Tom was wonderful to work with, made the process completely pain free and actually enjoyable. Actually ended up buying another GC off the lot for my sister. Just want to thank the people who set this up. Cant wake to take delivery of the diesel and start the mods.

Everyone: In the Future please work with Nader, if you having issues emailing him. Just give him a phone call. He took no longer than 30 minutes to respond to me. Please don't jeopardize this group-buy for all the future Buyers who would like to use this program because you were impatient.

I took delivery of my 2014 SUMMIT V8 on Friday. The experience was great, when I arrived the car was already detailed and waiting in the front of the building. Nader had rushed back from picking up his kids to meet me at the dealership. He worked directly with the manager to ensure the price that I signed the order form, was the price that I paid even though the MSRP and Invoice price of the vehicle had gone up before I took delivery. They also honored the military discount on top of the group buy discount, which negated the $500 document fee. I was able to utilize the checklist another forum member created and any issues I had were taken care of immediately. The Process took a couple of hours from start to finish. Which honestly was fine for me because I wanted to wait out DC Traffic. I didn't utilize their financing or buy an extended warranty. I was would also verify that all of the numbers add, my $500 down payment to the order vehicle didn't show until I mentioned it to Nader and that could of been in Human Error but do your due diligence and look everything over for your self and match up the information to what you signed when you order the vehicle. The Finance Manager was a typical Finance Manager telling me about all of the imperfection and how crappy the adaptive cruise control is but once he knew that I was set on not buying into anything the process moved along quickly. If you are going to buy a warranty I was advise to do your research before you speak to him because I have a feeling that he could sell ice in the winter or fire in hell. I did catch him a couple of lies, he stated that If I brought a warranty or maintenance plan that I would receive a rental car for services such as Oil Change from any Chrysler service department. Which we all know is completely untrue, everything he said at that point was complete BS. I caught him a couple of more lies, and at that point I just told him that I was not interested in buying a warranty or maintenance plan and everything progressed quickly after that. I’m not sure why he went as far as lying to try to sell their warranty or maintenance plan. When Chrysler is one of the only manufactures that offer a lifetime warranty. If I was going to keep my vehicle for more then 4 years I would jump all over it.

Nader was AWESOME, he even had the dealership removed their sticker from my vehicle and ensured that it was done properly without leaving any marks. Nader talked to me about the Group Buy; please only use him as this is the agreement that we have the dealership. I would even go as far to say that in the future this deal should only be published to premium members so that the casual person browsing the Internet doesn’t ruin this for us. I want to Thank Everyone who had a hand in sitting this up (BigWave and Chivvalry). I hope that Chivvalry receives his vehicle soon; NADER mentioned that the ECO-Diesel weren’t as strong as they thought they would be. Hopefully this means discount in the future and I will be jumping in to buy another one.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Is Nader at Koons also doing this 7% below invoice on the 2014 Durangos?

FYI - The invoice on the Durango Citadel I'm considering is just over $45,000. Yes, I've decided not to be cheap. Back when I lived in DC, I bought a 1988 Pontiac Bonneville SSE for $28,800, which is $55,000 in today's money. The Durango is far fancier in many ways (except the Pontiac had three inflatable lumbar regions in each of the front seats), yet significantly less expensive. That is real progress.

Re: DC metro area group buy

Picking up the JEEP on Sunday. Will report back with pics and experience profile. Nader has been amazingly easy to work with through this process. My buying experience has been challenging as we doing a lease for my older mother in a another state. Either way I am looking forward to meeting Nader in person and driving the truck.
Planning to utilize the "walk-around Inspection" found elsewhere on the site as a guide for my own checkout. Do not anticipate any issues and will enjoy playing with the truck on the 2hrs ride home.

Durangos aren't included as part of the deal. Doesn't hurt to ask what they might be able to work out with their Dodge counterparts.

What Nader told me last weekend was that this deal does include other vehicles and that the Durango was 5% off of Invoice. Please contact Nader if you have any questions. I was inquiring about buying another car from him.
