DC Metro Group Buy - REVISITED!!!!

Hello once again JG. In case some weren't aware, looks like the best deal on a Jeep is back.

Glad to see Koons and Jeep Garage ironed out an agreement, with the dealership officially becoming an official JG vendor in January 2016. The original DC Metro Group Buy truly was a success. To Scott and the JG team, thanks for putting together a great online community that enabled roughly 400 people to benefit from the 2013 deal we negotiated after all the Milous/Marlon/Chevyboy_711 etc hints started coming to light on the mid-cycle refresh of the WK(2).

H/t Only1Tobin, silvermax04 and a number of others that helped us originally arrive at the incredible 7% below invoice rate.

To the folks at Koons, especially Nader (who unfortunately has since left the dealership) and Thomas, you both were always straight up with us -- you guys honored the deal and those of us that worked with you to pick up our Jeeps were impressed by how good the experience was. I don't remember how many post-purchase reviews said something like "Easiest buying experience ever" and "No BS. Why can't it always be so simple?" (@Scottina06 -- any chance at unlocking the original thread?)

Erica, I hope the JG community can once again enjoy the experience we've grown to know since our first orders were place in March 2013. A meet and greet sounds like a worthy effort.

Please note that specifics for the DC group by from forum sponsor Koons should be posted in the Koon's forum area here at Jeep Garage.

Also, not quite 7% below invoice. I was one of the originals for the Texas group buy that was 5.5% below invoice, and the out the door price was nearly identical. The Texas buy did not have extra fees, but the DC group buy has extra fees. In the end, the DC group buy is somewhere around 5.5-6% below invoice. Unfortunately, the Texas dealer is not willing to work with Scott on the group buy, so he will not advertise the group buy on this forum. I have tried to get him to pay the fees to advertise, but he won't budge. He still gives the deal, but sadly, Garage members can't get the contact info at this time. I will continue to work with him to get him to advertise here, but not holding out too much hope.

Re: DC Metro Group Buy - REVISITED!!!!

Good to hear from you once again again, Shannon. Yeah, when they upped it to a $599 dealer processing fee from $499 that was a little obnoxious. But with the deals folks got in DC and TX, felt like everybody involved, dealer included, came out feeling ok with whichever one they went.

Re: DC Metro Group Buy - REVISITED!!!!

Good to be back in the forum. It's been a while. Yes, I agree it was good for Garage members. I'm just glad that I was able to help out so many others in getting such a great deal. Glad to see that a group buy is back up and running.
