Even though I already have my 2014 Summit for over 2 months now, yesterday I received the $500 offer again with a cheap little catalog on the 2014 GC. They must think I'm thinking of getting another 2014. It expires 8/31.

What I really would like is the actual printed 18 page brochure on the 2014 GC. Seems like dealers are to cheap to order any since they have to pay for them.

Who pays this $500? Is the dealer reimbursed by Jeep? I'm asking because I'm wondering what's the best way to handle using one during the negotiation process. I'm assuming you would make a deal first and agree upon a price and then plop down the cash back coupon at the last minute?

My guess is yes, the Dealer is reimbursed by Chrysler. I have had my Deal & Price set for 6 weeks while my Jeep was on order - and my Dealer called me to say "Good News - I saw your name on the Bonus Cash List, so deduct an extra $500 from the amount you owe at Closing" !! Can't imagine he would have volunteered that info if it was coming out of his pocket !!

I would get the best deal you can, then just before you are scheduled to take delivery and before they type up the docs I would say "Look What I Got In The Mail" !!

Manufacturer pays...so theoretically it comes off AFTER you negotiate your best price.

Yeah, I could only get the 2013 brochure when I was looking.

And I got that in the mail yesterday too. I thought, "now Chrysler is just messing with me... This is just mean..."

Still no GC for me...

My '14 Auburn Summit with Brown is finally here after a few tense moments when it was "held" at the Rail Yard for 1 week during the delivery process !!

THANKS to everybody on this Forum for getting me through the 6+ week ordering process (that felt like 6 months) and especially to Chevy, Marlon and Milous for always being there to answer all my Questions and PM's !!

I picked her up Thursday evening 6/6/13 and had No Problem using the $500 Bonus Cash that just came in the mail, plus got 0% Financing !! After driving in the rain for the first few days, I finally had a sunny day to take some pictures.

I was a bit nervous getting the Auburn after only seeing the color in person on a Chrysler 200, but then once I saw the Grand Canyon Jeep Brown Interior on a Black Summit, I knew the Auburn & Brown combo would be perfect.

The color looks different based on your viewing angle and available light and even more different in direct sun when the orange speckles really come out like this:
