I wonder why the dealer said my overland was "on it's way" when everything else points to not being built yet. I called the 800#, checked the chrysler insight url and then Milous confirmed it... My Overland is not built yet.
What pisses me off is that they cashed a $3500 check already and I get nothing in return.
Does the dealer have access to more information or is he just jerking me around? He seemed pretty honest face-to-face but you never know...
Normally I would agree, but in K9's case the vehicle was ordered over 2 months ago and has not even reached D1 status. Most likely a dealer allocation issue.
They are not lying to you. It is on the way. Its just not on the way as fast as you would want it to be. But they did screw you on that deposit though.
I just got off the phone with the dealer and he said that it can't be tracked because it was "pre-sold" to someone else. At least this is new news.... He is trying to find the other owner and make everything right... I don't know if this is another dealer or actual person it was sold to. I have never had anything like this happen before... bizarre. He said if I don't get the one they promised me, then I will get another one like it or they will refund my money. Ugh...
Wow, that dealer would have me quite worried with the whole incompetence thing. First putting the screws to you on the deposit, then managing to sell it to somebody else- it makes me wonder exactly what they're doing.
I'd be getting money back and finding somebody else.
Ummmm....no that is not correct. If there is a VIN, it can be tracked.....whether it is just an order in the computer or actually built. Make them give you the VON and also the VIN if assigned yet.
In my experience, when a dealer says it's 'on its way', that means it's being processed, somewhere between me giving them money and me getting my vehicle. Dealers are tools.
