Dealership forced me to test drive one!

What's up all! I just returned from a trip home to the US and was able to check out the new WK2. When I first went to the dealership they had a Limited and Laredo X. Both looked great and I was very impressed with the fit and finish on both.

I returned to the dealership a day before returning overseas. Both of the Jeeps they had before were sold and they had a Inferno Red Laredo there with the V6. I was still impressed with the cloth interior but really wanted to see the Overland interior. I was first offered to take it for a test ride but I didn't really want to drive the V6. After explaining that I was leaving the country for at least a year, the dealership asked me again if I wanted to drive it. Well, I wasn't going to turn down the offer again especially if they already knew I wasn't going to buy.

The first thing I noticed was how quiet the ride was. It was amazing. At 60 mph it was nearly silent with the AC off. Surprisingly the V6 is actually a decent engine. The only complaint I would have with it is that the first gear is too tall. It is pretty sluggish until 2nd gear.

I can't wait for the SRT come out and I am sure that it is going to be a killer Jeep. I really hope they release it with the Dark Charcoal color!!!!!

I agree, the SRT is going to be a beast. I didnt like the V6 as much though. I thought the pairing between the HEMI and the 545RFE transmission was more responsive. As for the cabin, it would be nice if a little more of the HEMI roar broke through the firewall.

Im still disappointed that my hemi City tends to be like 11s when some people on here are claiming like 15-17 city or 13-15 city. The EPA is 13, i'd be happy with advertised, but 11 or 10.x is killer on a city commute 15 miles each way. Not far but its 2 gallons or 3 gallons everyday depending on what it gets MPG! Im even being easy on the pedal now to see if its gets whats advertised. Thats an extra 5 gallons by the end of the week not including regular driving on weekends or after work! I know its a V8 and a Heavy Jeep, but lower the EPA rating then lol Else its just some Hemi's using more then others. I still cant believe 15-17 city stop and go that would be pretty cool.

Joe if that's with a 5.7 what do you get now with your 6.1L? Lol

People who claim 17 city must be using some sort of secret magic fuel. I'm on ethanol and a fair estimate is 13-14 city. Anyone getting substantially better mileage is mixing in some hwy driving. Anyone getting substantially less is driving REAL hard. I drive like a maniac and I get like 13.5 ish.
