Hello,

So I had a weird experience at the dealership today, I was ready to buy one and wanted to order it because the search tool couldnt find any... anywhere. However I was told by the sales person it is not possible to order a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk because it is so new they only sell what Chrysler gives them and they need to see how the sales are before they can open it to custom order. I then sort of just left because they werent able to help me. I call another dealership nearby and they tell me yes absolutely it is possible to order one and that they just ordered a 2017 Jeep Wrangler for a customer the other day. What gives?

Has anyone ordered a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee yet?

All Jeeps are ordered by dealers either for stock or for a customer. There was a delayed start for diesels so he may not have allocation for them. There are '17 Grand Cherokees all over the place, including one in my garage - HEMI. It was ordered for me, and even says so on the window sticker.

Koons of Virginia (a preferred vendor here) has around 200 Grand Cherokees in stock, including 13 Trailhawks, no diesels. Their price on a Trailhawk is 5% below invoice + $599 charge. This is for Jeep Garage members.

The EcoDiesel engine option was delayed introduction for MY17 production. That's fully documented in other threads.

• 3.0L CRD engine continues (240 hp @ 3,600 rpm 420 lb-ft of torque @ 1,800 rpm) (late availability, production launch 10/17/2016

I haven't ordered one. I have 0 tolerance for sales BS like that. I would order it from the other dealer then drive it to the first one and wave it in their face. Just sayin.
